Anyone having a Installation Manual for the 190-388 and 190-389 CAT 0 3 Point Hitch #772-3351A, can you supply one so I can get it posted?

Just to be clear I'm asking about this original style 3pt hitch for an 82 series (straight lifting arm)..

Okay, after further investigation that style pin is not on the older IH 782'S, they added that type on the CCC so the 2 pins take the load of the implement at the rear, it is not a float lockout pin.

Ah, now we're cookin. Thanks guys. Never thought to look for attachment info in a chassis service manual. I downloaded a couple of the later service manuals and noticed that apparently the only time that piece is shown is in context with the Cat 0 type 3pt hitch. Here's another version showing the lift bar connected without that piece so I'm guessing I don't really need it since I'm going with a sleeve hitch, not a Cat 0 3pt. That sound about right?

Here is a side by side comparison of the regular wide frame lift bar (top) and the 82 series lift bar (bottom). The front hole is recessed to accept the head of a clevis pin. I attempted to install it today and found out that I do indeed need that piece discussed above. The front end of the lift bar hits the clevis pin before the holes to connect the lift bar line up.

Well after comparing a bunch of photos I think the problem is with the repro bar. The hole at the front is drilled too far back thereby causing interference with that clevis pin. I'm wondering if I could get away with trimming off a bit. Any opinions?

Is the one on the left a repro? looks factory, or is the one on the right?

Yeah, probably should have labeled them, sorry. Repro on the right. You can see how much closer to the end of the bar the hole is in the left photo while on the right the hole is quite a bit farther from the end and that extra distance is causing the end of the bar to hit the clevis before a pin can be inserted. I'm thinking if I trim the bar down to match the one on the left it should give me the room I need.

before you do that check to see if the pin fits flush with the outside of the bar, something doesn't look right.
