It's funny how you talk about idle hands. My kids hate all the snapping, picking, peeling, shucking, etc I force them to do, not to mention hoeing and pulling.
But the conversations we have during those times are priceless and memorable. |

Yea I complained when I was a kid, about the work I had to do. Now I realize those may have been the best days of my life.
Sure do miss ole Dad, Quite possibly the smartest man I'll ever know, even if he did work the crap out of me. Those days were 40 years ago, and it still seems like last week. Cadet Farmer |
Looking back everything is good
As they say " remember the good ol' days" now we have to make them for our children , teach them the value of a good hard days work for a dollar and family values, for the seeds you sow the harvest you reap. ( this applies to every thing in life, friends ,family,work,play.):bigthink:
