I am referring to the front foot,i guess yours is quite a bit different than mine,you can see in this pic what i am talking about,it should have two feet on it.

Ben, I found this on another site. It looks like the front ripper is a Flat Iron with a sweep welded to the outside frame. My guess is it's a furrow opener for the fertilizer attachment. Very easy to make. It was probably cut off because the PO didn't apply fertilizer with it.

Thanks steve59,looking at it it shouldent be hard to make,and yeah the PO unhooked the chain for the fertilizer hopper,but thats fine with me,it has no rust:beerchug:

Those are just way too cool guys! Nice find with them planters. Hey Steve, you have any action shots of that planter in use? You use it at home all the time to plant your sweet corn or do you use the "life size" planter?

I plant all my sweet corn with the little Brinly. I have some pictures of it in action but they are on my PC at work. I'll post them this week.

ben i have a planter like yours if you need to look at it just let me know. we wereboth at vinces place and did not get to meet each other. by the way we are about 20 miles or less apart im in mt airy nc thanks joe
