The top of the left spindle is sheared off (not the PS mounting bracket), the starter is flaky, all tires have dry rot in the treads, and it needs a battery, muffler, mower belts, and a seat, and some day soon, a complete tear down, soda blasting, and repainting. And for those asking, it does not have a rear PTO. |
I for one am glad to see it go to someone that will take care of it. Looking forward to you starting a new post detailing the repair and restoration of it.:beerchug:

I need to start a thread for my 2072 but my plans keep changing. I still can't believe my Dad is selling the family farm . When I get settled in (hopefully with a nice big shop) I'll get my stuff together and get my thread started! Congrats on the best looking Cub ever made!!:cub10: |
Yodaddy,
I, too am glad someone from the forum snagged that beast. Sam, Shoot, for what the rear PTO's and 3 pt's are bringing, those two items alone would pay for the tractor. :biggrin2: |

If it looks pretty good mechanically, it isn't that bad of a buy for this area. There just weren't many of these machines sold around here. The Cadet dealer dad worked for sold one 982 and 3 2072's. The dealer that took over after they closed up sold about 3 of the models that replaced the 2072. My point being these mowers aren't very plentiful around here. Now if you start talking about those 4xx series green machines, they are a dime a dozen, yet sell for a small fortune. |
OK OK, I'll call the guy and see what the story is. Oak I got your PM. Man you guys are tough. :biggrin2:
