Weather sucked today, 83 and I did a 100 miles on the Honda in my mesh jacket. Now it's shorts and Tee shirt on the porch with a cocktail time. Sucks to be me. :biggrin2: :beerchug:
Tom hope you have snow up to your butt. :biggrin2: |

went to B'fast in the ol' vette, and got a few groceries, came home and put her to bed for the season. Later in the day went for a nice ride on the mo'sikkil then put her to bed for the season also. It was *72, just perfect but the sun sure is low in the sky this time of the year, had to keep my helmet/visor tipped down way more than in June. Guess I'm getting old, had both near 30 years and last few years, just don't use em like I used too, guess it is a BTDT thing. Seems like I enjoy the old pee cup more than anything. Don't have to care if it gets dirt on the tires or scratches/dings in the bed. she's a farm truck. In my younger days me and the guys would pick up "chicks" and give then a ride on our "scooters" Now those "chicks" are old spent hens, and those "scooters" are not Harleys, but "Hover-arounds" Age changes a man, some for the better, some not.:bigthink: |

My bike is stored in the greenhouse now, I couldn't find a photo of it on the computer so I had to locate one on the Web that kinda looks like it.
A gallon of gas will get about 100 miles, I had it to up o 35mph with room to go faster. You can laugh if you want, but for a 63 year old like me it offers everything that I want :biggrin2: |
I was outside in a t shirt about two hours ago and now it's snowing.

Snowing pretty hard now, no fear of it sticking though since it hasn't been cold out.
|
Screw that. Hope you guys get all the snow you want! I hope I get the cab back on the 1811, blower mounted and it sits in the garage all winter. I'm not getting my hopes up though. Almanac says we are going to be getting a lot of snow.
Wish I could ride my motorcycle. Could ride it to the farm all fall during harvest even during the good days because it was too cold and dark when we got done. It's not been put to bed yet. I don't know that I will. I'm the guy who will dig it out on a warm day in Jan if we have any. 55/60 deg is warm enough. :biggrin2: |

Let it Snow
Oh the weather outside is frightful But the fire is so delightful And since we've no place to go Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! It doesn't show signs of stopping And I've bought some corn for popping The lights are turned way down low Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! When we finally kiss good night How I'll hate going out in the storm! But if you'll really hold me tight All the way home I'll be warm The fire is slowly dying And, my dear, we're still goodbying But as long as you love me so Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow! :biggrin2: |

True to my Southern Heritage, I rode the Mule over to the back of the farm this afternoon. It was about 50 deg. and I'm thinking this really SUCKS. I'm ready for one good snow an then back to 80 deg. weather. |

Since we somehow managed to get 4" of snow on the ground I figured I better put my winter prep into high gear, I dug out my heater and fired it up so I could get the shed cleaned a little. Now that the mess is off the floor I can begin putting plows and chains on, that will have to wait till tomorrow when I get more kerosene.

All of the snow melted and I mean all of it.....the only thing I can do is start the Cub up once in a while and listen to her purr like a kitten.
My wife keeps assuring me that it's coming but that doesn't help, I may have to buy another Cub just to ease the pain :biggrin2: |

When I first got it, members said to put a Creeper Gear in it, which is what I did........that was very Good advice, I sure like using the Creeper at times, it does have it's purpose. The best thing about throwing snow with it, is the 4 sided soft cab that was offered to me by a gentleman on another Web Site. Using that 42 inch thrower on the Cub sure doesn't take long to clean out the driveway compared to the 28 inch that's on the BCS :beer2: |
Tom, glad the cab worked out. Would like to see some pictures if you get a chance.
Thanks, Mike |

Like installing a temp.heat shield to prevent engine heat hitting the discharge chute of the snowthrower causing it to ice up. |
Nice setup!
The cab turned out really good, I like the LED light bar, I am thinking I need something like that. You can never have enough light when moving snow. Thanks, Mike |

I had it all together the day I got it, the following day I installed it, only took a few hours. One problem with the light bar is snow sticks to the lens causing it to block the light.....I'll have to think of a way of stopping that from happening. That was sure a good investment, I'm very happy with it.....Thank You |

Sam we had minus 5 this morning, the Cub started right up :biggrin2:

Tom
62 here today, the Honda started right up and I went for a ride. :biggrin2: :beerchug: |
Tom that's a nice set up you have there. I have to admit in the beginning of this thread I had to think about what your abbreviations meant but I figured it out. I will say back to you that the CF winter could be warm and it always is!
Seriously liking your set up though and that LED bar ain't cheap, looks great |
Well we got snow last night. Must be at least 1/2" on the ground. Gotta love it, the locals are wrecking all over the place. I 81 and I 77 are parking lots. :biggrin2:
