Bent the holding tabs, and lightly pounded out the bearing. Then took three 1/2 drive extensions and used those for a support so I could tap down with a hammer the new bearing. Being the pulley is spring loaded and didn't want to take a chance of breaking something.
Used the old bearing between the hammer and new one, worked good. Then gouged in a couple new tabs. Now all I need is the field coil$$$

Good job, Todd!

My son out today going on a ride in the yard. He loves driving them as much as I do!!

Shaner 05-18-2014 09:33 PM

went and picked up a second 169 yesterday. its rough, but the 16hp motor runs. had the original muffler and hour meter but no air cleaner. im going to be taking the driveshaft, steering wheel and dash for my original 169 and trading the motor, hydraulics and muffler to a buddy of mine for his 169 in trade for a good 149 to run my Johnson loader while my 782 gets completely rebuilt. so hopefully things work out!

Got 4 hours of seat time yesterday on the 1782 reducing the length of the lawn/hay field. Man did it grow fast after the rain we got the other day. Had the smoke rolling in a couple areas. Still have some more to do today. :beerchug:

putting the forks i made to the test with a green 16', 12'' diameter log. had about 480lbs of counter weight and me at 165.

Shrewcub 05-23-2014 07:52 PM

That's awesome, Ken!!:beerchug:

I gotta find a loader for my 2072!:biggrin2: The JD is not very turf friendly!

Sam Mac 05-23-2014 07:52 PM

Looks like a stress test to me. :beerchug:

you could say that. i was pretty amazed that it lifted the 4 logs i had on the trailer. i had one that was at the limits. 10', 22'' diameter.

That's more than my bx would have lifted.

ken6x6 05-23-2014 09:54 PM

i have the pressure turned up on the loader to 1500 psi from the factory setting of 700. i was more at the limits of the 1772 from tipping forward.

Cubcrazy 05-23-2014 10:45 PM

Very cool Ken!:beer2:

ACecil 05-23-2014 11:18 PM

Cool pic, Ken!

ACecil 05-23-2014 11:20 PM

Enjoyed a ride on the 1872! I think the rear seal on the engine may be leaking, we'll check it out tomorrow.

zippy1 05-24-2014 01:29 AM

Awesome picture Ken:beerchug:

I put the 122 to work cutting the lawn today. Just under four hours, felt good to stretch er' legs for the first time in two years, but my shoulders aren't feeling so good:bigthink:
Life on the farm:beer2:

nikster 05-24-2014 07:23 AM

Another one for the herd

What did I do today?

Well brought home another-one.

Found this guy with only 512hrs.. A gentleman of 81yrs. young decided to give it up. One issue with it caused him to do this. He just was NOT wanting to deal with it (to do the work) & said screw it.
He almost gave it to me from his original asking price.:biggrin2: 19 miles from my house & $ 46.00 rental fee for the trailer from home depot.
Gonna be my MAIN grass killer.:beer2:

Guys get ready gonna ask a few questions about this issue at a later date.

I was in AWE at the GREAT SHAPE of this guy! Almost new.

Cruise on it also.

Nik,

Darn light bracket snapped off 5 years ago & he could'nt stop fast enough & ran over it & never re-placed. He said " I don't cut grass at night- I don't need any lights."

Congrats on the 2185, Nik!

Shotgun Wedding 05-24-2014 10:08 AM

Nice 2186! I just sold mine last month, I loved that tractor. It will be an excellent mowing machine plus other stuff.

Nice tractor Nik!

I picked up another pair of weights this morning. Then went and got a sweeper. The bag is new and the rest barely looks used either. It works really well, I just need to add a rope for easy emptying. Adjusted the carb and changed the oil on the 102, then put it to work!Got a little mowing done too. A lot more for tomorrow, plus a cookout :beerchug:
Hope everyone enjoys the holiday! :beer2:
