J-Mech 06-16-2014 12:58 AM

Todd, awesome grass. Tractor too!! I need to get me some tri-ribs. :bigthink:
You hate shaving too? I can relate. I do trim it up a little though.... I'm growing my hair out too...... You, Keith and I are gonna look like twins next winter!! Except I'm not old and gray/white yet. :biggrin2::biggrin2:

Nice tractors as always Allen!! :beerchug:

Great looking Cubs, Guys!!

Did my usual mowing with the 1864. Bushhawged the fields last weekend, so I did a little extra mowing around the edges. Had the cart on while I was doing it to pick up limbs.

We sold the baler this week, so I did some cleanup in the barn to make some room in the shed. I am going to move the Gravelys and attachments to the barn. Put the 1811 and one of the logsplitters in the barn. I missed some spots in the field with the 1864, so the 1811 got a few minutes of mowing too!:biggrin2:

Got the 782 movable under its own power. Still have a lot of work to do. I got everyone, except the 2072, out for a group shot. :beerchug:

Thanks, Lew!

That is where the Deere sleeps. Also have the Bushhog and 7' sickle :biggrin2:

Once I transfer the Gravleys and attchments to the barn I will have a nice space in the shed for the current Cub fleet. There will still be an empty stall in the barn :bigthink: You may be on to something :biggrin2:

The Sycamore has started it's annual shedding. Got some seat time on the super with the lawn sweeper.

Thinned out the herd,

Sniff,:RedFace2: sold my # 1250 the other day. It's been my main grass killer for 2 season's now & has never failed me.
But it found a good home. The guy was thrilled with the price, all the extra's,

Nik,

Now left with a
#109
#127
#2185
One more to thin out? Think maybe the # 127?:bigthink:

dont know anything about Sycamores but it looks like some huge chunks?

Are they heavy?

Nik

ACecil 06-20-2014 11:47 AM

It's not heavy, Nik. Just bark from the Sycamore. :beerchug:

jimbob200521 06-20-2014 10:31 PM

Cool vid. I killed some grass yesterday with the 2182. One of these days I need to learn how to do videos and how to post them.

nikster 06-21-2014 08:12 AM

Ugh, made my # 2185 feel good

When I bought my new # 2185 the gentleman told me that the right side coil HAD to be re-placed. The knit-wits that designed the twin cylinder should have been flogged & castrated.:biggrin2:

One MUST disconect the engine from the frame, pull it forward, then pull the shroud to get to them coils.:bash2: Slowly & more slowly a friend & I did it. He's done it before so it all came back to him. he suggested I re-place both. So thats what we did. Cost of the coils wasn't that bad at $ 57.00 each. But now the engine PURRRRRRRRRs.:beerchug:
After 2 1/2hrs. later.
Hardest part was dis-conecting drive shaft & all those rubber thingys coming out & trying to re-conect it.:bash2::bash2:

Cub Cadet dealer wanted $ 400.00 plus parts for the job.:crap:

I've done a bunch of them. I don't think it's all that hard to do. Trick with the blue plastic barrels is to stick them in the drive cup with some grease. Glad you got it going. :beerchug:

ACecil 06-21-2014 10:09 AM

Yup, that's exactly what we did.:beerchug:

It took as long as it did because I insisted in doing all the work. Heck if it happens again I think I can do it without my buddy's guidance.:beer2:

NIK,

But ya gotta admit, it's some DUMB engineering.

J-Mech 06-21-2014 01:11 PM

Glad you got it going Nik!! :beerchug:

PaulS 06-21-2014 01:41 PM

Eric and I did mine on my 2084 but without moving the engine forward we took the battery and holder out, removed the firewall and had only just enough room to replace both the coil and a mouse chewed wire that runs between the two coils. Your way gives you plenty of room to replace and set the gap.

Today I hauled 2 trailer loads of top soil to fill some low spots in my yard. Hauls these from about a mile down the road and the 1572 handled it with ease.

ACecil 06-21-2014 10:19 PM

Nice pic of the 1572, Steve!

X-2:beerchug:

You da man Nik, hopefully there won't have to be a next time changing the coil:beerchug:

I cut the lawn with the B.B. 1650 again this week. Man I really like this tractor with the 50" deck hydraulic lift and tri ribs. Get's the job done faster and much easier on the shoulders:beerchug:

Cubcrazy 06-22-2014 11:46 AM

Good to hear Nik and nice looking 1572 Steve!

jimbob200521 06-22-2014 12:00 PM

Got some serious seat time with the 1863. After all the work that I've done to her, I think she'll last me many years to come. I wish the grass hadn't been so wet, I swear it was clean before I started!! :biggrin2: I plan to do a little after-market mod to it; I've seen a couple other guys do it and I like it, so I think I want to cover the foot rests and bottom section of the fenders with Rhino Liner. Should clean up the looks of her quite a bit! Oh, and track down a none-cracked hood. But mechanically, she's sound!

Sprayed a little PPG paint on a 3165 that's going on CL soon. I think I scored more runs then the Atlanta Braves have, one.:bash2: My fault, I had about an ounce left in the cup and started getting crazy with it, guess I'll keep my day job.

My buddy that is a painter calls those deer whistles. :biggrin2:

Did some mowing and sweeping with the 1864 today.

Cubcrazy 06-22-2014 09:15 PM

Doesn't look bad at all Todd! Just remember it's going on CL anyway!:beer2:
Nice pic Travis!

ACecil 06-23-2014 12:12 AM

Thanks for the nice cub pics, guys!

ACecil 06-23-2014 12:17 AM

I'll do anything for some seat time! Got a rocking chair from my brother, and gave it to our neighbor. You can't beat free delivery! :biggrin2:

My buddy got to try the super out. I think he liked it! :beerchug:
