Hauled some Christmas decorations for, Jenn. It cheered her up! :beerchug:

Calling for some snow Sunday nite in Western Pa, so I fired up the 1862 and cleaned up the bottom of the driveway. Started right up at 20* and the 450 blower is dead quiet. I guess I'll get some seat time early Monday morning.

I got my new wheel weight hubs put on the 100 and finished putting the rest of the PTO linkage on the 126.

Gggggrrrrr!
We had just enough snow to have a little something to push so I got the 1872 with the Haban blade out. Just ag tires with the monster wheel weights and it is awesome. Took 2 of the 4 trip springs off the blade just to be safe.
Well, even though I was barely moving, I tripped the blade. When I went to pick it up.,...nothing,.,.worst part was that I was around the corner doing the inlaws drive. Rigged it up to make it home but haven't checked it out yet. Three point on the back is still moving and the rockshaft arm is intact (I put extra welds on it when I replaced it in the spring). I am hoping I just snapped the roll pins and nothing else. I am pretty disappointed in the whole front lift setup on the supers. Maybe just need to do a little custom work for that part.. |
Sounds like you were having fun, Bill!

Picked up a volt meter for the 126 since the ammeter on it didn't work. I got out the 100 and cleaned the 3" of snow off the cement in front of the garage. Can't wait till we get some real snow to try out the power angle blade better.

Cub 1641 Skidder
Where are you located in Washington? I'm about 15 mi SW of Mt St Helens.[/QUOTE]
I live in South Everett...am looking for some acreage out in the County, hopefully before the end of the year. Then the Cub will really go to work! |
Can't Push Mud
We don't get much snow here in Western Washington...I did get to plow one night with my backblade but the snow went away and the Record Rains started. I picked up a used offbrand front blade, so I need to build it in somehow. It usually involves a cup of coffee, staring at it for a while, and scratching my head. Does anyone have any closeups of stock Cub front blade brackets? I have a '93 1641.

Woohoo!:beerchug: Got to use the 1862/450 last nite and this morning. This morning was a bit heavier than last nite, but all in all, it's a breeze with the PS and hydraulic lift. My drive has a 30'x30' pad outside the garage and then is about 150' long to the road. Took me about 25 minutes including having to move my wifes car. I think I need some auxillary lights, either wider, higher or both. The stock lites on the 1862 are bright enough, but they shine right in the shoot. I'll be doing some cypherin' this week to see what I can come up with.
