Touched up some yellow areas

Touched up yellow around skid pads and some nicks. I got tired of looking at center bolt on steering wheel and didn't want to pay $22 for one without label, so I found a black center cap and glued on for now.

Nice looking 2182 you have bud! :beerchug:

Thanks Sam, I like tinkering with it. Found a little metal tab down in the engine compartment?? I figured out it was the hood latch from the manual you sent and re- installed it too.
Checked on a deck lift link at dealer in Ohio $21. Checked with dealer in ky $12. Go figure? Needless to say I'll be getting anything from dealer I need in ky. |
Good looking super!

That a way Allen, a spin a day will keep the Dr. away:biggrin2:

The super is lookin' good! Make any headway with finding a smoker yet? :bigthink: |
 Yes it does!
Glad you only had a branch down. A lot weren't so lucky. 94 mph wind in Ohio |
94 MPH winds?!?!?! Great. I just moved to PA and my house is for sale in Cleveland. I can't wait to see what happened this weekend when I go back. I guess we had some tornadoes touch down within 20 miles of me. Count myself lucky! Let me know if you need any help cleaning up Chetman!

Got the 121 out today and hauled the spreader around getting some grass seed on a few dirt areas. Fun little tractor. :beerchug:

Good pic, thanks for sharing! |
Kinda Boring
Didn't do much, pulled off mower and cleaned it up, greased all 7 tractor zerks and 8 mower zerks, sharpened blades with Dremel.
I know many don't like the new stuff, but this tractor is solid. Pulls the Brinly cultivator like a dream. http://www.myfishingpictures.com/dat...um/tractor.jpg http://www.myfishingpictures.com/dat...m/tractor2.jpg |
Looks like one damn fine machine to me. As long as it has a drive shaft I'm good with it. :beerchug:

Hooked the cart up to the 1482 and took my 2 year old neighbor and his dad for a ride this morning. He loves to hear and see my Cubs and insists on watching over the fence whenever he hears them. He calls me Tractor Jim.
Could someone please rotate this photo for me? Thanks! (fixed it for you Mac) |

finally got some ambition and time to work on my 782. i got my power steering column built and mounted in the tractor thanks to an Xtrememotorworks bracket. still need to get allot of hoses and lines made though. also got my dual hydraulic valve and levers mounted on the new steering column. i also got the dual hydraulic split kit for the rear hydraulics mounted and the lines run through the frame. its going to be a hydraulic hose mess in that tractor. hope i don't have any leaks!:biggrin2:

Got the 782 and 1872 out and moved my attachments. Now my cubs and attachments are under one roof.

I had a positive ending to an unexpected and very early failure. My 2186 is my main mowing machine. I had been mowing for about 30 minutes and I noticed my foot pedals were falling out of the foot area. I made it back to the garage and found a very skimpy plate used for holding the pedal assembly in it's proper place. Take a look at the picture of this pitiful plate. Maybe 1/8th thick. I was shocked and embarrassed for newer Cub Cadets at that point. I understand that these models are primarily for mowing but I was somewhat surprised at the cheapness of this part and the plastic so-called bearings...
Please realize that I have 8 Cubs so I'm not anti Cub, just anti cheap. Anyway, I pulled the part, welded it, installed it and finished mowing and it held together. Maybe it will last another 300 hours. I'm thinking if it were a 1/4 inch steel it would never break. At least I had the welder and had just enough knowledge to weld it. Sorry about the twisted photos.. Randy |
