ACecil 10-05-2014 09:10 PM

Such a beautiful day in NC, so I had to get the cubs out.

Allen,
Neat pic of the cubs! Looks like you had a nice day down your way. Overcast and upper 50's here. Sure beat the lows in the upper 30's last nite. :biggrin2:

Thanks for sharing the pic! :beerchug:

ACecil 10-05-2014 10:03 PM

Thanks Josh! It was cool here today. Only got to 62 degrees.

I hauled a little firewood over the weekend. The 104 surprised me, but it was up to the task. I am amazed at how strong it really is.

Good to see I'm not the only one aerating in early October, looks great! :beerchug:

I took a few days off work for vacation before winter gets here and I won't be able to. So, this weekend, I pulled everything out of the garage, cleaned the floor up, and made room to get all 4 Cubs in for the winter out of the way (apparently, the g/f thinks she can park her car in my garage when it snows :biggrin2:)

Great group photo Sam. I am cadet yellow (not green) with envy.

I didn't do anything with my cub but I did pick up a power turn plow. The PO installed a different hydraulic and reinforced the mount.

Cannon51 10-15-2014 04:15 PM

I took the 48 inch deck off my 1863, scraped all the caked grass from the inside and blew off the outside. I hauled it to the 25 cent car wash and sprayed it off, pumped grease in until it started coming out and changed the front gage wheels and bolts. I'll sharpen the blades this afternoon and put it in the outbuilding for the winter.

Well.... rained here for almost 4 days strait now. Decided the tillage tools are done for the year. Took them all to the shop and power washed them. Oiled up the tiller and the moldboard so they stay all shiny :biggrin2:. Greased everything, now to but it back in the corner and pull the snow equipment out.

Ya-raw. (<that's my excited for snow sound )

Similar day for me, except I was lazy and ordered a complete ready to install clutch from Midwest Super Cub. Its hard to beat $275 for a ready to install clutch assembly. The time you save makes it more then worth it. It came in 3 days later :beerchug:!!!!

That plow was a rust bucket when I got it. Had been sitting outside and hadn't been in the ground for eons. I took a grinder to it to get the heavy junk off. Then went in the field behind the house and plowed until it shined. I swear I plowed an acre to get that shine. (8" at a time, LOL) I'm not doing that again next year. I'll dip it in oil if I have to. LOL!

Shorts Allen? Your killing me, had two layers and a knit cap on today. :bash2:

Looks like fun though!

I cut the grass with the 1450 and test fit my almost finished cat 0 to brinly adapter. I'll post a thread in the homemade section with more pics.

Fall chores

Well, the Yella' Mule, had a workout today.
Plowed part of the garden, to prep it for winter.
Hauled off some brush and old lumber, left by previous occupants.
Spread some gravel with the front blade, that was delivered today.
Fixed the hood hinge, and the spring/latch assembly for the front blade frame mount.
Adjusted the carb, for better engine performance. Smooth power now, from the Mag 12.
Was an especially nice day, with breezy 60f degrees. Got some much needed work done, getting ready for winter.:Work:

Note: Ought'a have some wheel weights, especially for blade work.

Diz Jr. 10-21-2014 09:57 AM

Looking good a usual ACecil :biggrin2:
Always enjoy seeing the sweeper in action

ACecil 10-21-2014 10:43 AM
