Put the two newest tresures on wood duty today. Got a little muddy this afternoon but I'll take it over what we had two weeks ago!

I hauled a load (hopefully that last one this winter) of wood to the house after I stripped the 1864 of it's winter clothes yesterday. :beer2: https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/Qk...c=w992-h558-no https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-v...313_135138.jpg |
Nice pics guys. Hauling wood with a Cub beats using a wheelbarrow.

Most of the time I do use the wheelbarrow but that cart is 3 light wheelbarrow loads, so when a cub is running and the cart is hooked, I take advantage! :beer2: In the first pic, you can see I don't have but about a 100' run from the shed to the hole in the house, so normally it's not that bad! It sucks the worst when it's muddy! |
Got all the cubs out for a tinkerin' session. I double-checked the charging system on the puller. Turns out carbon on the relay in the regulator kept it from charging properly. a little file work and adjustment and it's up to snuff again.
Got the 70 charging again (had the S/G rebuilt) and tinkered with the relay ground. Other tractors are pretty solid right now, so it was just time to line 'em up for a quick family photo. http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/...psmqkwlmr3.jpg http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/...pstb16n0hu.jpg |
Got some spring maintenance done today. Took the cab off the 1864, got the 2284 raised up and the front tires off for the new shoes coming in this week. Adjusted a few things and once I get the new shoes on all around, the deck will go on and I'll be ready for some grass killing!
Also got the oil changed on the 2284, new fuel filter on the 2284 & 1864, test fitted my new bumper (after elongating one bolt hole, it fit like a charm), and a few other busy work tasks. Getting anxious for grass killing! http://s26.postimg.org/lhpp627wp/IMG...743_Custom.jpg http://s26.postimg.org/w0pov8akp/IMG...456_Custom.jpg http://s26.postimg.org/om0d2uop5/IMG...503_Custom.jpg http://s26.postimg.org/yxcpvigeh/IMG...510_Custom.jpg |
Cub season!

Got the three cubs out of hibernation. Charged up all three batteries and took them for a little run... The 2072 required a new fuel pump (PITA!! :bash2::BangPC:) and the carb cleaned and new float needle. Now just need to figure out the 982. Group pic!

Got the narrow front 125 out of hibernation and changed the oil, and got rid of the stack and made a short muffle extension. That stack was useless for getting under tree branches while thatching and sweeping the lawn.:beerchug:

Love the Narrow frame look. I'm gonna have to build one soon.
|
It was a nice warm day today so I got the 1782 out and plowed some weeds under that were starting.

Changed from winter mode to garden mode on my 1862. Also had to install the cat0 hitch from extreme while doing that I was puzzled because everything I have seen say it bolts to 2 bolts on the axle housing but it only lined up with 1 on mine and I didn't have any other brackets. Is that the same for others or did I mess up. Either way here is some eye candy.

That tiller looks familiar. :biggrin2:

Yesterday's activity included putting the machine to tow duty. I got the Haban deck installed and checked out after refurb. Then I decided to pull the splitter out and work on next year's firewood.

Looks good Ray. :beerchug:

Used the 129 to spread some grass seed on a small hay field. Basically just a light topcoat of seed on the whole thing, hit the bare places about 3 times. Caught my yard while I was at it. I will say, EVERYTHING on that hydro needs fixing, you head downhill with it and its a real roller coaster ride. Don't know when it will get in the shop, but it has officially made it onto the round-tuit list

Took the blade off and mowed the fenced in yard. Think we're safe from snow now!

First mow of the season. Smelt something burning and realized one side of belt somehow came off over winter. Wasn't that way when parked in fall. Also my PTO didn't want to engage when very hot, it's working fine now?? I don't think the belt had anything to do with it. It was very noticeable when off.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-S...330_153141.jpg I put a spiral pin in the drive shaft of the 67 102 and got to put it to work for the first time since I've owned it!:beerchug: https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-z...331_151724.jpg https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-a...331_151738.jpg Today I finally got the steering wheel off of the 66 102. Took the one off of the 67 102 also. The 67 was a piece of cake compared to the 66. I've been working on and off on the 66 for about 6 months. Put a new bushing in the 66 column and put the nice wheel from the 67 on the 66 with Craig's cap.:biggrin2: It was a good Cub day!! :beerchug: https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-O...331_151809.jpg |

Great pictures guys, it's nice to see us all getting outside and doing stuff, finally!

First time playing in the dirt.
Dad bought an Agri-fab disc that showed up today. He bought it to rough up the yard for seeding. Not quite ready for that, but I put it together and wanted to see if it would break.
I also wanted to try out Jeff's hitch. Nobody did anything with the garden last year since the farm was on the market. There were a bunch of mounds and wood stove ashes out there so I decided it would be good testing ground. I really need to plow that, but I got it leveled out any way. The 2000 drive shaft held up fine so far, even after some wheelies once I took the blade off the front. :biggrin2: Here's a couple pics. Sorry forgot to take some while actually in the dirt. :beerchug: https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-H...401_182107.jpg https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-B...401_182134.jpg |
