Jimbo,
What size are the V61 tires on your 2284? I like the look of them on your tractor.

Had the dual stick out today and did some leveling of the driveway. The leveler is a railroad rail and a piece of angle iron bolted together, been using it for over 25 years now every spring:beerchug:

Nice work on the Driveway zippy1

The front tires are 18x8.5x8 V61's from Miller Tire. GREAT place to buy tires from, can't say enough good things about them :beerchug:

Just my 2 cents, and I'm not trying to start an argument but to me the diesels are over rated. I've had to opportunity to own and run a 1572, a 1772, and a 1782. Sold them all and kept the 2182. Also had a 2284 that I sold, bad move on my part. Back to the regular programing. :beerchug:

I don't know why but I don't check in on this thread often enough. So, I will just say that EVERYONE'S Cubs look awesome! Looks like all are ready for spring and jumping into work already. Very nice all, very nice! :beerchug:

Doing some Spring clean up today, pic of the 1863 with the newly mounted V61's on the front. Took the decals off the side today and used goo gone to remove the glue. I think I'm only going to place the "Cub Cadet" plastic letters back on the sides of the hood. Also looking for a replacement seat, maybe with some armrests. :bigthink:

Finally put the PTO back in the 122. It only took two years, but have been busy with the new company.

Reassembled and tweaked engine to get her going after two years of down time and Varoom:Cub3: it actually worked on the first attempt!

I just love these K series Kohler engines:beerchug:

Shrewcub 04-06-2015 11:10 PM

Good job, now go kill some grass!:beerchug:

Shrewcub 04-11-2015 06:08 PM

Mowed the whole lawn for the first time this year with the 1864. Then we cut down a small tree and did some cleanup with the Super. That hitch tray works good, but I sure would like to find a scoop-tote! :beerchug:

Looks like it was a fun day! That carrier looks useful. What is a scoop-tote?

It was a good day and so will today. Here is a pic of a scoop-tote. I know there are a few members on here that have them. They seem to be hard to find.

Needless to say the Ryobi 18V grinder with cut off saw was my friend of the day getting the carriage bolts removed.

Off to the blaster this week :beerchug:

That sure beats doing it the Armstrong way. :beerchug:

jimbob200521 04-13-2015 09:53 AM

Started some landscaping this weekend with the 1864. I can't wait to get time to take the fenders and foot rests off and get them painted it, this thing looks ROUGH up close on the rear end of it. She's a great worker with a low hour engine and goes like the dickens. It just so happens that the body panels I used for it when I "built" it were pretty rough. But that'll be taken care of this year :beerchug:

It's been too wet to do much around here so I've been doing some shopping.

Picked up all this stuff the other day http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=38183

And I picked this up today, I've been wanting a box scraper for a while now. I'm going to do some changing around to the hitch though since I don't like how it is now

This morning I put the deck on the O and mowed around the garden. Then tilled the garden with the 400 tiller and the 1450. This afternoon I finished mowing the rest of the lawn. This evening I put a new bearing in the idler pulley of 44a deck, will remove the tiller and mount the deck on the 1450 tomorrow.

I'm a bit slow to get fun things uploaded since I'm battling other problems with my neglected cub. But a couple weeks ago I was able to snag a 36" snow blower for dirt cheap at a local auction. Came with 90° gearbox and frame adapter for narrow frame. If next winter is like this years was, I'm going to need it. I have a great neighbor who bailed me out a handful of times last year.

I've only run the blower the little bit you see in the video. I'm going to make sure the gearbox has fresh lube at the same time I'm fixing the axle seals in my tractor. Also, the belt tensioner is going to need some attention if I want to blow more than air. And the rope is lift link is how all you guys do it right? :biggrin2:

This video was taken with the old Walbro carb (PO replaced engine) before I cleaned it. So I was revving it to see if it was going to sputter and choke on some debris. Here's some stills
