Nice pics guys! Really love spring time. Tons to do, plenty of seat time, and neat pics. :beerchug:

I cut grass with the 2182's, ran them each just because they needed to be run. :beerchug:

Shrewcub 04-29-2015 08:11 PM

The 1864 has been on grass killing duty it seems like for 2 weeks straight. Gave it a good cleaning with the air hose tonight. Oh and I had a seriously cut LF tire a week ago. Thanks to the parts 1862 I got from Sam, I had a donor. Found out the non SS axles on the cyclops have the wheels turned around backwards the SS's. But now the valve stem and grease fitting are on the outside (on the LF anyway). :beerchug:

Did some tilling today..

Was a nice day in northwest Ohio. This is a 1650 I picked up back in January. Works great!!https://www.facebook.com/benton.cook...r&notif_t=like

Last week I decided to wake up the 1862 and the 982 and put them in their summer home. No can do! Battery dead on the 1862:bash: Hook up the battery charger for a day and make my way back. Sit on the tractor and hit the key.....doh!!! forgot to disconnect/unplug the charger. Dead.

Fast forward, new solenoid and relay. Solenoid was bad, but the relay was only $8, so I figured I'd replace it. Hit the key and it sprang to life. The 982 fired right up also. When I was younger and these things 'happened', it was because I didn't know any better, now they just seem to happen.

Took the snow blade off of the 149 this afternoon.
Decided to hook up the plow and get the garden turned over.

Then i changed the engine oil, put the mower deck on and did some mowing.

Sam Mac 05-02-2015 03:02 PM

Mowed for a couple hours today with the last 2182 I bought after adjusting the Governor on it. Man what a difference that made. Here's the post on how to do it along with getting rid of a partial throttle surge on the Kubota gassers.

Anyway after a bit of tweaking both my 2182's are running better. :beerchug:

Yesterday was a good day, I got my blades sharpened and my deck installed with all new belts. The grass was thick and tall so it doesn't looks the greatest but I will wait a couple days and hit it again, just glad to have some seat time that doesn't involve a coat. This pic was taken pre mow.

I also started up all the tractors that have been sitting all winter and to my surprise they all fired right up with no tinkering required, I also pulled the carb off the 86 and tore it apart and have it soaking in cleaner.

Mowed the lawn that didn't need mowing.

Rearranged the barn so the Cub 1641 is first out. :beerchug:

Did a bit of wiring, my bad. Can someone bail me out at the OSHA office in the Federal Building in Philly? :beer2:

Now I can mow going backwards. What's with that?

jimbob200521 05-22-2015 12:09 PM

Wasn't today but used the Cubs to do some grounds Maintenance where I work. They both got a days good use hauling mulch and keeping us working. Great machines these lil Cubs are! You can also see the first days use of the newly painted black fender 1864. Can't wait to get that project finished up!

Thanks to POs like you, I have never had to "fix" my tractors. I hear my neighbors engaging the mower deck every 30 seconds. I really don't see what is so unsafe about mowing backwards. I guess they are trying to prevent neck injury lawsuits? How about designing a beer holder that doesn't make my beer foam up while mowing! :beer2:

Tear down mostly complete on the 100. Still have to pull the axles and replace the seals. Also getting a set of 8" wide rims prepped for some new tru-powers.

Still debating how nice of paint-em-up job I want to do to this. I want it to look nice. But show quality wont be necessary. Perhaps I give it a liberal cleaning and rattle-can it with some fresh decals.:bigthink:

I like that bucket, and it may be inspirational enough to add a 3 point. I bet the wife unit would prefer that over the trailer...
