Diz Jr.,

I forgot to say "nice brim". I've been putting off fixing the leak on my fuel shut off. I was thinking that I'd wait till the tank was low and then fix it. Then I thought well I'll catch it around 1/2 at the most and remove the tank and fix it. Then it hit me. I had another sediment bowl so I removed it's shut off stem and took it to the hardware store for an O-ring to size. I picked up half a dozen at $0.26 each. I then put a new O-ring on the stem from the store, removed the one on the tractor and quickly put in the new one. All this time of waiting and putting it off and even considered buying a new one. So here I am this morning fifty two cents poorer with two fixed sediment bowls. I can't believe how long it took me to realize how to go about this. :beerchug:

Diz Jr....Nice Hat! I'm jealous.

I took the KT17 out of my 682 tonight. Found that I need to replace the driveshaft couplings and it appears that the front axle is a little loose. Need to investigate how to tighten it up! :bigthink:

If you need new ball bushings I'm selling some in the trading post area.

Well I was in the barn looking at my tractors when in walks my 11 year old daughter who asks, " what's up Dad?" I responded by saying that I was going to check the oil and hytran in them and she answered by asking, " Can I help?"
Well, after I gave her a funny look, she dove right in and checked the oil in the 127. It was low so she got the oil off the shelf and added it, She checked the oil in the 1862, which was a little low as well, got the oil and added it. Checked the 1882, which she said, "looks good" and I said "yup". We checked the hytran which all were good. Then she asked, "which one can I take out?" She ended up taking the '62 and doing laps around our 2 acres while I moved some logs and crap with the 1882. We were out for about a half hour or so. It was a blast. We got the tractors parked in the barn and she looked at me and said, "it's cool being a Daddy's girl."
F*@# Yeah, it was a GOOD afternoon.:beerchug:

please pardon my language....

Got the brakes relined on the 582...still have to install pads on one side. Yesterday, I put a new fuel pump on the 582 and changed the internal brake rear to an external brake. I also discovered my 782D is getting oil in the antifreeze:angry:

Diz Jr. 08-06-2009 09:45 PM

papaglide,
I know exactly what you mean.:IH Trusted Hand:

Matt G. Sorry to hear about the 782D, Hope its nothing major... But it sounds like it is.
