Nice pictures.

Early yesterday the top couple inches were still frozen, I waited until about 8 so it had a chance to thaw a bit but before it was all the way loose and muddy.

ihnick 03-08-2010 05:54 PM

brought my 169 block to the engine shop to get bored. slowly making progress

Diz Jr. 03-08-2010 07:20 PM

ihnick

Yesterday I slapped a two inch trailer ball on my 1811 and used it to move my new trailer. I have a 18x8 foot dual axle trailer left over from my business days but I been looking to downsize. I needed a trailer wide enough to transport my 61inch Scag Turf Tiger Zero turn, and I found a used 6.5 x 10 foot trailer in awesome shape on craigslist. I brought it home and was under the mistaken impression I was just going to wheel it into place onto my back lot by hand. Nope that sucker is heavy as heck. Thank God for the Cub. It handled the trailer like a champ. My back was hurting to much by the time I was done to put me in the mood to take pictures. Sorry guys.

young enthusiest 03-08-2010 11:31 PM

Today, I pulled a tiller apart, trying to fix the main bearings. Then I put side panels on the 1650, and drove it around just to hear it run. Then I found a mud puddle. It is now very dirty. Sorry no pics, could hardly see without the lights on the tractor

ACecil 03-09-2010 12:02 PM

Sounds like you had fun, Tyler! :beerchug:

young enthusiest 03-11-2010 12:14 AM

Boy did I ever! It is so much quieter. And vibrates less beleive it or not. I got it really stuck. Sank up to the bottom of the trans and front Axel In nice sticky mud. I let the ground freeze, chipped some of it away, and drove it out. Yesterday, I hooked the plow up to my 128. I am now building a spring assist lol. The 782 is sitting inside, looking very pretty, waiting for a new pto switch. Then I have to replace the gasket between the pump and the transmission housing to stop that leak, then sell it to make some $$$. I have a nice little trailer for the 1650 now. I can haul large attachments in it or parts. Works real nice for hauling a broken tiller around!

bignastyGS 03-11-2010 03:29 AM

Tyler,
I'll gladly take that 782 off your hands for a swap of that for my spring assist...lol I just noticed your line up in your signature...You have a nice selection...I have a my 1200,a JD 165 in my garage as well as a 108 and 800..Too bad the last 2 aren't mine.Don't know how things seem to keep showing up in my garage lately. My sons 2 mower decks seemed to take refuge here as well as my moms 1045...And here I thought I built my garage for my Buicks...

CBH 03-12-2010 07:10 PM

Worked on the 1872

Today I put new brake pads on the 1872......and then I put the new Cat-O hitch on it. I'm really pleased with the range of the movement the lift arms have. I'm sure it will come in handy!!

toyman 03-12-2010 07:23 PM

Just came in from the shop. Replaced the bearing plate gasket (2x) and the seal (2x) on the 982. (Long story!:bash2:) It's now running fine with no leaks. Installed new plugs and wires and now I have to reinstall the pto and put the mufflers, shrouds, grill, hood and side plates back on. Then it will be ready for action!

Diz Jr. 03-12-2010 10:23 PM

CBH,
Nice hitch on your new Cub :biggrin2.gif:

toyman,
Sounds like you had problems....
Glad to hear you got it figured out. Get us some pictures if you have the chance.

young enthusiest 03-13-2010 12:03 AM

BignastyGS, I'll trade that 782 for $1700 and your spring assist :D
I like my selection too, except the 128 hasn't moved under it's own power since November... I can't wait for plowing season lol. My dad let's me use an old grainery for cub storage.. Room for at least 40 indoors :)

CBH 03-13-2010 08:53 AM

I picked up the 1872 about a week and a half ago. :biggrin2.gif:

ACecil 03-13-2010 04:16 PM

Your 1872 and hitch look great, CBH!

Amigatec 03-13-2010 05:52 PM

I installed the new wiring harness in my 129 today, but I still need more parts. The Solenoid is bad, and I think I was sold the wrong Regulator.

Why do you think it is the wrong reg.?

Amigatec 03-13-2010 08:00 PM

I think I was sold a Reg from an original, one of the terminals doesn't match.

dont match how? can you be more specific.

Amigatec 03-13-2010 10:11 PM

The reg that was on it, has a Fld, Bat, and Gen, terminals plus a Ground.

The one they sold me has a Field, Bat, L and Gen terminal.

According to the wiring diagrams, the 3 wire fits most model, but the 4 wire fits the originals.

jeff k. 03-13-2010 10:25 PM

You should still be able to use that one just dont hook up the L terminal. The rest is the same, unles thers a big price diffrence. the regulator grounds it self if bolted on properly to clean metal.

young enthusiest 03-14-2010 12:42 AM

Today, I fired up the 128, 782, and 1650 just to hear them run. Then I took th 1650 and pulled our POS quad out. It is a long story why it's garbage. But it is junk. I won't work on it. It had 4 flat tires, and my dad sitting on it... 1650 never complained, it just towed it right out of the shed Bo problems. Then my mom drove the 1650 around the yard. She has never driven it, and she even had to ask me if it was her tractor (which it was before I started working on it) she had fun, did some weelies and stuff. Fun day :)

camarokidz28 03-14-2010 09:23 AM

Picked up the 70 and 86

Yard work

Started some yard work today. Got to use some of my cub cadets :buttrock: Here are some pics. :biggrin2.gif: The 149 has a home made sweeper using snowblower frame. :IH Logo: The deck on the 76 still needs to be sandblasted and painted.

ACecil 03-14-2010 07:24 PM

Great pics, guys! :beerchug:

I also got some seat time today. Used my plug aerator for the first time, and aerated the yard. Our grass is turning green nicely. Spring is here for us!

ACecil How do you like the plug aerator?

ACecil 03-14-2010 08:52 PM

Diz: The plug aerator did an awesome job! I highly recommend one.

Diz Jr. 03-14-2010 09:00 PM

ACecil Looks like it was doing a nice job

I was hoping to be rolling my yard yesterday but it was showering most of the day. Hopefully be able to some this week.

I'm home for spring break for a few days, so I FINALLY got my new tires mounted today...

I shot some video for that tire mounting tutorial I said I'd do in another thread. I'll see if I can get that together soon.

CBH 03-16-2010 08:31 PM

Matt, that's a rugged lookin' machine!! Nice tires too!

JayBrd 03-16-2010 08:36 PM

Looks good Matt!

And Allen, I want that backrest!

ACecil 03-16-2010 10:48 PM

Your tires look great, Matt! :beerchug:

papaglide 03-16-2010 11:11 PM

While Allen was useing his aerator I tried to scoop up some old mulch and dump into my trailer. Everything was going fine until my tires hit the dirt er red clay under the mulch. I had to hook the truck up to it and tug on it a couple times to get it out. In the second picture you can see I was axle deep and sinking fast. Maybe if I had dual tires on the back like Allen I would have been fine. :bigthink: My wife didn't agree with my enjoyment of the pickle I was in and :beatdeadhorse: ever since.

Got my new front tires on and started building a sleeve hitch setup. The lower mount is made. Now on to the sleeve hitch adapter.

ACecil 03-17-2010 10:54 AM

Great pics, Duke! Your 122 would look awesome with duals! :beerchug:

IHinIN: Your new front tires, and lower mount, are very cool!

ihnick 03-17-2010 07:15 PM

I wouldn't trade my sandy ground here for nothin. But stuff happens haha. Glad your having fun with the loader

Matt G. 03-17-2010 08:34 PM

Got my bagger adapted to fit the 782D, so now I can bag grass for the garden with the diesel and 46" deck instead of the little 382H. I also splattered some paint onto the rockshaft for my 582 to keep it from rusting until I get around to installing it.

Papaglide-

So far so good!

JayBrd 03-17-2010 09:37 PM

I got the Ag's (26x12's) and the Firestone tri ribs ordered, along with the sleeve hitch and a extreme motorworks eared lower bracket for the 682. The original "Y" brinly adaptor came yesterday for the O. I'll be painting that tomorrow..

I guess I have about another week before I can start keeping up with you guys posting up all the work pics :bigthink:
