Yesterday I got some quality time on the 1211 and just as I got done my wife came home, of course I had to take my boy's for a ride.

Had the 1650 out Sunday for the mowing festivities.:beerchug:
https://s9.postimg.org/4zo7n3s5b/1_cub_4.jpgscreen shot
Then started up the 100 for some well needed TLC. Engine has a oil leak, and the seal at the creepy has a leak... So figured it was time for a fix all.:biggrin2:
I redid this tractor back in 2012, (100 face lift) and painted it with rattle cans. The Cub Cadet paint, and I can say it held up fair. I can also say, I would never paint a tractor with rattle can again.:bash2:
You put the same amount of work into preparing one painted with rattle can as one painted with "good paint" using reducer and hardener. Well for me, lesson learned.:beerchug:
Boy, I think I've learned a lot since then.:bigthink:

the 1650 looks good Todd, i see your starting to grow your winter wool.:biggrin2:

Todd...Your 1650 and 100 look great!:beerchug:

Good looking cubs, Todd!

johncub7172 10-03-2016 10:56 PM

Today I mowed our lawn with my 1450 equipped with IH 38" deck! Was a nice, hot and sunny day here! Next, I cut 7" off each end of a well used and abused IH 42" snow plow. I'm getting prep work done to all the pieces needed to weld up and have a IH 56" snow plow! :biggrin2:

Also, on my 125 I got the head torqued down, engine tin, fuel tank support, and muffler brace all together. The 125 has great compression now! Going to do more work on the snow plow project tomorrow.

Yeah gotta love those F-stones up front.:biggrin2: Need to use the 1650 with it's "power steering" till I get the 2372 (1872) out of sickbay.
Yup, winter's coming whether I want it to or not.
Thanks Beth and Allen:beerchug:

My wife and I raise chickens as pets, and we get a great amount of fun from doing so! This is typically how I go about cleaning out the coop, here with my 1450 and heavy duty yard trailer :biggrin2:

No, they had to build it to match the SEW Vanguard crankshaft. :beerchug:

Doug Doty 10-09-2016 09:50 PM

Finished fuel tank, sediment bowl and carb cleaning, installed new battery. Tried firing off for the first time. No Crank, back tracked to a bunch of cobbled wiring and a bad ignition switch. I have to decide if I am rewiring or buying one of the new harnesses. My key switch is sticky too and not seeing them available like the original or I think it is the original, has a JD key ???

zippy1 10-10-2016 12:14 AM

Cut the lawn with the 2372 (1872) with the new Extreme PTO clutch for the first time yesterday. Things a beast compared to the old (original) worn out PTO. Plowing through grass like it was 3" instead of 6".
Very happy with it's performance. Thanks for the recommendation Sam Mac:beerchug:
"Hopped":biggrin2: back on today to cut over at the company, and that "lawn" was all of 6" with a bunch of dead grass in amongst the green stuff and it didn't miss a beat. That thing is one strong PTO clutch for certain. Happy, happy, happy.
If any of you all are in the need of a replacement clutch, I would highly recommend one from Extreme. :beerchug:https://xtremeope.com/

You've got that right. I told the wife I'm getting a bigger tandem axle by next spring.

Oak 10-10-2016 08:56 AM

Cleaned the 50A deck and got it ready for winter storage. Changed oil in the 1650 and installed the push blade. :beerchug: It will be needed some day, hopefully not anytime soon.

Don't want to Allen, but it seems like every year for the past 53, a change in the weather bout this time a year brings on a good chance for some white, wet cold stuff in the not to distant future. I hope I'm wrong, but want to be ready.:beerchug:

finsruskw 10-12-2016 09:35 AM
