I wasn't sure what to expect but it pulled it quite well. I do need to pick up a couple weights to throw on the front as the front gets a little light in the harder areas.

Got a couple hours of seat time yesterday on the 2264, grass finally dried up enough to mow. :beerchug:

I fell into a cyclops this winter that more or less came with the house we bought. We came from a postage stamp development lot where I used a push reel mower. We now have 6+ acres with about half of it mowed. I new the tractor needed some TLC, but every time I touched the machine a new problem seemed to appear. This site has helped immensely and I've read many of the threads and walk-thrus. Thank you all.
Although I was working on fixes with all my free time, the grass was just growing faster than I could solve issues. So, we broke down and got another mower yesterday. Today I needed to mow before the next few days of rain, but it had sprinkled in the morning. I have a nice new shiny mower in the garage, but I couldn't bear the thought of a maiden voyage in wet grass. So, I fired up the 1440 and went at it. As I mowed, the new deck belt and spindles worked freely, I had no fuel supply issues, and the charging system seemed to function the entire time. All of that is thanks to the info on this site. At the risk of jinxing any good juju... today I took my cub out to mow and it ran the best it has since I've owned it. I mowed for 2 hours with no issues. This is the first time I've felt confident that she's still got life left in her! Next up is Sam's rear end work, probably over the winter - drilling holes in the axle tubes and maybe getting some braces. Thanks again fellas! |
^^^^^ Well now you can put the new one out by the road with a FOR SALE sign on it, seeing the 1440 is working good.:biggrin2:

I should have done some mowing today with the 1864, but I felt more like smoking some pork and drinking beer with my sidekick. So I did nothing with my Cub today, and had a good time doing it! :beer2: |
Well you can't beat that with a stick. Chunk of smoked pork, beers, and man's best friend. LIFE IS GOOD!:beerchug:

Was able to finish the lawn tonight with the 2284 after being rained off for the last two days. Crossed 800 hours while doing so.

Good work "gentlemen".:beerchug:
800 hrs. Steve? Things just broke in...:biggrin2: |
The 1250 is up in New York , the 1811 is running down here and cutting great sparingly and a 69' 104 just got rolled into the back yard for a future project . I swore I wasn't going to start collecting these things but we all know how things go ! :beerchug:

No meat today!

Killed a little grass with the 1864. Then trimmed some low-hanging hat-knocker-offers and took down the tire swing I've been kicking out of my way for 4 years. The 2372 hauled everything off.
Apparently cleaned up after the dog too! LF tire:biggrin2: |
Those "2372"s are good tractors, hey Travis? Glad it was up to the task at hand...:beerchug:
Did you ever mount a mower to it yet?:bigthink: |

I had 2 ash trees that blow down behind the house a few weeks ago. It's to wet to get the truck back there so I've been hauling it with the 1863. I think I'm about half done, is this asking to much of the Hydro-Gear.

It wasn't today, but last week I finished restoring my GT54 deck and cut with it. It's a beauty and cuts like a beast on my 1864...

Played in the dirt
Had a washout from yesterdays 3+ inches of rain.
1650 and 54" push blade did well,:beerchug: but the rears were a spinnin when I got to much gravel up front. I'd rather push gravel with a 42", but this is what's on the 1650, so make do with what's on it:biggrin2: https://s17.postimg.org/a8deqm7dr/to...-17_1650_1.jpg https://s3.postimg.org/jrrfci5ar/tod...-17_1650_2.jpg https://s10.postimg.org/rffqlpprt/to...-17_1650_3.jpg https://s30.postimg.org/jwwsc3qn5/to...-17_1650_6.jpg |
