Had the 2372 out mowing the lawn, went and parked it, and there was something wrong that wasn't right.:biggrin2:
So into the shop to check out what was wrong. Got the fenders off and my skinny rear tires on. Thought to myself, self, bet there is an infamous cork gasket issue.:bigthink:
2nd. picture is the bottom of the tunnel cover.
For once, sure glad I was wrong. Ended up being the seal in the front of the pump. Called the dealer, and I'll have to wait till next week, cause he didn't have one in stock.

olds45512 07-02-2017 07:33 PM

I mowed with the 1211 and then I got the rest out to stretch their legs and figured I'd put my wife and her $600 camera to work.

Don't one of Tim's pictures qualify for Picture of the Week? They sure are pretty.

Those are sharp, I would be afraid to use them for fear of getting dirt on them.

Those Firestones make steering so much nicer. BUT I miss that power steering. Prolly next week break out the 147 and Haban.
Some of those weeds Round-Up won't touch. Wish I knew somebody who knew weeds. And what kills them...:bigthink:

If Doc Brown had a nice IH ballcap! :biggrin2: Looks great Todd!:beerchug:

My dad scored two 28 ton loads of asphalt millings for free the other day. I had already spread one pile, where the Deere is parked, when i took the pic. My uncle got us 8 20 ton loads last fall. The driveway's looking really good now! I made a road down to the barn using about a 1/4 of what we got. The 782 gets to clean up the tight spots.:beer2: Free chit rocks!

Yeah I know, but I lost a bet last Sept. and can't cut it till I make good on it. I was talking smack with my hunting buddies, and one thing led to another, and I was so confident, that it would have been a slam dunk.
I said I'll cut it as soon as I kill three doe, or a buck. There wasn't a buck big enough on our property, so I figured I'd hammer the doe's. Well on the first evening's hunt, I got one, then messed up my shoulder a couple days later, and only was able to go three other times. But I was in the wrong place, at the wrong time.
So I need two more doe before I cut it. And Sept. is a long way away.:biggrin2:

My math is probably wrong. I will guess 38 yards. There was a lot of powder and the 2nd pile got wet. It was a bitch to get a full bucket! I didn't have a counter going, but I'm gonna guess 40 to 50 buckets per pile to get it moved. That's also accounting for my poor scooping skills!:beerchug:

Here's a link to my search. My screenshot image was invalid.

Todd - By the time you get those other two does winter will be here and you'll be glad to have that extra "insulation". I know I would. My top side lets heat out faster than a fireplace chimney.

The weather here on the south side is just as bad. The heat doesn't bother me, but the humidity hangs on like a 200# wet jacket. Oppressive.

Sprayed a LOT of weed killer today with the 1200. I love that gear drive. I'm a little late, I usually like to spray just after the the first hay cutting, but I been busy. So today was a warm, dry day. Just a little too windy...sorry neighbor..hope you didn't like that Arborvitae hedge to much...

Oh well,..have a 'Gansett?:beerchug:

Busy last few weeks working on the 2182. Here is what I have done:

1. Completely rebuilt both hydraulic valves
2. Removed steering column, removed old grease, and installed new boot and grease. Installed brand new guides for tilt steering, new tilt spring, new steering column boot, and new tilt steering button
3. Installed brand new dash/instrument panel
4. Replaced the hydro pump cork gasket (Finally!)
5. Removed driveshaft and removed old grease, and installed new rubber boots and new fan blade
6. Installed new fan belt
7. Installed front bumper I bought
8. Cleaned all electrical connections and retaped wiring harness
9. Installed new power steering cylinder
10. Fresh hydraulic fluid and filter

I think that's it! Was a fun project.

Yesterday I finished up all the projects and it was time to clean up the mess. The first pic shows the frame I made to hold the old lumber so I could haul it away, I screwed it right to the poly cart for stability. The second pic shows it loaded up, I had about double this amount on it when I moved it. It took about four trips to get it all, the 1211 handled it with ease. I was given the JD carts several years ago and it's great because I can leave it outside and not care. When everything was cleaned up I got the grass mowed and luckily I didn't get any old nails in my tires.

I'm seeing one heck of a bonfire right there.:bigthink: Back in the day, that would have been a good "excuse" to have a couple friends over to help clean up the mess, and have a 1/2 barrel tapped, and the grill going...:beer2:
