dads70,
The 100 was protected...LOL. It's my pride and joy! Seriously, it didn't get too bad in our area. We just had high winds and heavy rain. :beerchug: |
Well the garden is roughed in, had so much fun I might have to make it bigger!
http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/101_0301.jpg And I think I might get less seat time when the "Boss" is on spring break.. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/101_0306.jpg Had a great day for sure! |
Great pics, Jay! :beerchug:
Bill: Great job on getting the cubs ready for Spring! |
I finished my sleeve hitch mount grader blade this morning. Graded the driveway with it and it works great. I'll post some pics later.
|
Can't wait to see your pics, IHinIN!
|
Got some seat time on the 100 today. Hauled some things for my bride. I'm ready for PD. The 100 will look a little different after next weekend. :beerchug:

Well this is more like a what I've done for the past two days but finished it today. I've learned a lot about plows the past two days! I have so much more to learn got to read up on setting the plow up correctly but I got the job done. It didn't help I'm missing some of the adjustment parts :Duh:. I still need to mount the mule drive and tiller and give that a go but I just wanted to plow!

ACecil 100 and the trailer looking good as usual :biggrin2.gif: Methos Looks like you have been busy  |
I welded the wheel bracket back on my 44A deck and got two new belts, and installed it back on the 1200. Charged up the batteries and mowed half an acre. Even tho I can see thru the deck, with new belts it did a nice job.
I checked all the belts when I was done, they looked like new. Far cry from when we had the 126 deck on there... (The center pulley lines up in a different place with the NF deck on the Quietline, and it throws the belt quite often..) Got all the tires pumped up on the 126 and its parts machine (107 ) and hit everything with a good dose of PB blaster... Gotta get going on the cub rebuild project this week.. Oh and I got an old bike going that I picked up in a yard sale. But even tho its built like a tank, it isn't a CC. |
Nice pics, Duke! Load up your 122 and plow, and come to PD in Pickens, SC this weekend. It's going to be a blast! :beerchug:

I wish there was a plowing guide like the tiller guide we have here on the site. I'll keep you posted on what happens with work. The weekend of the 16-17th going to be in Ohio going cub hunting hoping to bag a creeper for the tiller. |
I had a very productive Cub weekend. We started with Dustin's 149. We removed the front spindle bolts and thoroughly cleaned and greased the assemblies. We also checked the trans oil,and got the mower deck installed. We moved to my MIL's 1450 and did the same front suspension work as well as replaced the hydro fan,the air cleaner gasket and did the deck blades after we had them sharpened. Then,I moved on to my 1200.Removed the wheel weights and started priming/painting them to look nice. Did the spindle removal/grease deal as well as greased the front axle and the steering box. Installed my mower deck blades and checked the air in the tires on all 3 tractors.Still have to do the same to Dustin's 108 as well as install a clutch assembly in it. Getting them ready for the plow days in Danville and hoping to hook my 1200 to the pulling sled.It helped that we did most of the maintenance last fall,as now they are ready for mowing duty now...My last endeavor was to get the (free) power washer running. I got it running after 5 pulls. Need to get some corrosion out of the water pump, but it's a Sears unit,so parts should be available...

I had the 982 and Toygirl had the 1862 with the trailer on the back. She cleaned up the remnants from winter and winds, and I got dog duty (pun intended):bigthink: We ran around the yard for a few hours and got it nice and clean for spring. Both tractors got their spring maintenance a week or so ago, and I found that the plug gap for the 1862 in the cub manual is different than in the Kohler manual (.025 & .035 respectively). It always took a few turns to start (at .025) and I regapped the plugs to .035 and now she fires in about a 1/2 of a turn.:beerchug: Having an issue with the thottle cable/governor on the 982's Onan. I hope to have it worked out tonite.
Worked out the issue with the 982 at lunch time. The throttle cable was slipping thru the stay (no clamp) on the throttle lever. I re-adjusted the cable and clamped the stay (large pliers) a little tighter and she seems to be good as new. I got out my engine analyzer and am going to check the hi & low rpms and adjust the governor to spec. I thought I broke something important and am relieved I did not. Not too impressed with the way that cable attaches to the lever. |
got the motor, hydro lift, lights, sping assist and rear lift out of the 122. now just need to figure out how to get that dang creeper out of there

Here's some pics of the grader blade I built. Now it just needs a few coats of Cub white paint. I think I'm gonna make some removeable side plates so I can use it as a box blade too.
