today before work i removed the 42" IH push blade, the 12-26"s with tirechains and put on the skinny tires of my 71. sure did lighten up the load! that is a sweet garden Diz Jr.! i realy wonder if running a plow like yours would be a bit too much for my 7hp. k161. i have got to get myself one and get to a plow day!
|
you can easily plow with a 7hp. merk has pictures on here to prove it
|
I tilled a pile of hard dirt for my Neighbor with my 127 so he could shovel it away.
|
I plowed 3 gardens today.

Can You tell what was garden and what was sod? http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/pd041004.jpg http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/pd041005.jpg First time this garden was plowed. http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/pd041006.jpg http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...s/pd041007.jpg Suburban-trailer and 149: http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s.../pd041008a.jpg |
Well I mowed 6 or 7 lots down at the trailer court here in town, plus half my yard and 2 other yards.
|
I must say Merk....Your plow and Cub combo does a great job!! :High5:
|
Nice plowing pictures Merk
|
Awesome pics, Dale! Thanks for sharing.

I ran out of daylight but I got a little bit done today. The picture only shows 1 pile of top soil but I had 2 to move had to move some rocks to have a place to dump the other load of top soil. I hope to finish up tomorrow I have some 125+ year old day lillies to plant and some other donor plants I need to get installed before I mow grass tomorrow.

Methos
Looks like you have been busy  Really looks nice. |
Duke, you've been keeping that 122 busy! Thanks for the nice pics. :beerchug:
|
Thanks Diz Jr and Allen!
Played with the water fall today and cut some grass so no pics to post. The waterfall needs some tuning before I can start moving the rocks with the loader again. The boxscrape did a great job and the wife was happy I didn't hit the house. Next weekend is all ready planned out and unless I can figure out how to talk my wife into let me take the 122 into our old house it looks like it's sitting idle next week. After 2 years on the market and 80K in price reductions we're renting the old house out until the housing market rebounds. (sorry :OffTopic:) So the pond is going to have to wait until the following week :crap: |
Sad, Sad Day
Well, I was teaching my son how to mow our 5 acres with Smokey the 782after I had just completed repairing everything. All of your guidance was excellent. Anyway, she started to smoke, which I thought was all of the oil residue from this past winter's leaks. Well, sadly, she died today. I tried to start it this morning to pull it up to the shop to check out the smoke, and she ran really, really bad. So, I used the 1450 to pull it to the shop.
One side is pumping air and the other is not. So, it's a bad connecting rod. Anyway, I have now declined the 1863 back home and am looking at either a new 2554, 3200, or a John Deere X530. I can't afford to be down anymore, so I need something new that the wife and kids can enjoy using as well. I may shop for a used motor for the 782, but it would be for snow blowing only or just as a toy. For now, she has taken permanent residence in the back of the barn next to the Spirit of 76 that also hopes to one day ride again. Thanks for all the help. |
I ended up having to pass on doing some major ground work back home due to work. But I got to finish up with the last of the yard work before the new dirt arrives. Problem is, I had to share seat time..
http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...n/101_0323.jpg I found washer fluid on sale that afternoon and figured it was tire filling time also..(9 gal's per) http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f3...2/101_0326.jpg |
Cool pics, Jay! It's great getting some seat time. :beerchug:

Finally got the two redheads (what my wife calls them) together for a picture. I did a couple plow days with the 982D the last few weeks, now in addition to yard chores, it'll probably be taken to some shows in the area along with the 782.
|
Great looking cubs you have there, aagitch! :beerchug:

Sorry to hear about the 782. Hopefully you can find an engine. JayBrd That is a problem, I don't like to share my seat time either :biggrin2.gif: aagitch Sounds like the wife might be a little jealous :HeeHee: Gooooood lookin pair of 82'S |
My wife is going to plant her tomatoes this evening, so I got the 100 out to haul her gardening tools. :biggrin2.gif:

Aagitch....Sweet look'n pair of red heads! Great job on getting them looking so good. I only wish I had another one myself. I am sure the neighbours are jellous.
 |
Well, today I pulled the motor out of the ol' 124. Not completely out, but far enough to move it just so I could replace the grass screen and hub. A lot of work for a little part...but it needed it done. After finishing up that little job, I mowed a while with both it and the 1872.
Nothing special...but some good, hands on Cub time today. :biggrin2.gif: |
125 Cub
Went to coppersville MI for the christen camp my wife works for , to pick up some tents and a big grill ( 24 inches by 72 inches ) . We were about 2 miles from the pick up and i spotted a cub . So on the way back we stopped we stopped , and we went to look at it and to see if it was for sale . It was but they wanted $ 500.00 for it . had a 3 point and spring asst on it . it had not been run in a long time no key so i jumped the wires and it rolled over but no spark . pulled the plug with a lot of effort . it had a lil compresion not much . So i made an offer of $ 160.00 and endend up getting it for $ 200.00 . got it home put the jump pack on and put some P B Blaster in the pliug hole and it rooled over but had a stuck valve .After it rooled over about 30 times i checked the points no fire but new points , cleand out the gas bowel fresh gas and it started up . pics to come saterday

What a wonderful day today was! Loaded up the rototiller and the small tiller and took the cubby down to my neighbor's house and made a few bucks.
|
Cool. What model Cub tractor did you use? Or model tiller?
Don't tell us that it was a walk behind!! |
I actually didn't do anything with my cub. At least its not my cub anymore. I sold one of my cubs to someone who will actually tear it down and restore it....something that I was unable to do. Its a good thing.:beerchug:
does that count? I mean I did kind of do something with my cub.......:bigthink: |
Hauled my wife's tools to her garden. Didn't get a chance to plant them Thursday. :beerchug:

Allen,It's nice that you get to help your wife out with her gardening. My wife could care less about my tractors...lol
Today, I decided to fix the brakes on my 1200 that has a wet brake rearend. In the last month or so,I began getting less and less then none. I took the fenders off and had a spare piece tom plug into the hole where the outer brake pad mounts and did the old pull it out and push the replacement piece with a good pad on into the hole. I then looked and seen my brake pad was disintegrated, but all in the cup. I did some reassembly and adjustments and now have better brakes than ever. It helped greatly having a spare wet brake rearend handy which I just drained all the fluid out to remove tons of water and I got nosey and looked at how things worked. I have to get some parts for thie spare rear like gaskets and outer seals, but I believe this will make a nice rear for my project tractor.. |
Pics of the 125 and 3 point harrow i made today

I got the mowing done today with the 169. It was a good afternoon. http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l...4-24-10002.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l...4-24-10001.jpg http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/l...4-24-10003.jpg |
Well I mow the trailer court here in town and I mowed the first 7 lots today. (I have 15 or 20 total to mow.) It's slow going on the empty ones because you have all the utility hookups, and one still has the tie downs to look out for. Ran out of gas once, I am going to strap a gas can to back next time.

Lots of good reads! I like knowing what 'yall been up to! Well today me and cubby 71 took a journey about 6mi. round trip. Made a few more bucks! So if Lord Willing, I may tractor up north the Baltimore and Ohio tommrow to show some some good pictures of this new coverd bridge I'd like to share.

Drove back home today to put the 682 thru some harder paces than I can do here in EC. We spent the day working the cubs breaking ground re-vamping our R/C track.
