well I got the ag's on the back and disc harrowed the garden with the 1882. The shape of the garden kind of sucks and it's only about 6' x 30' but oooohhhh it's such a nice tractor. :beerchug::beerchug: couple of those to wash the dust out!!

I wish my bucket was that large!

Great pictures everyone!

toyman 04-30-2010 08:30 AM

Great pic's everyone! I need to get some ags on my 982 (as soon as my fun money replenishes itself!). I got the tiller hooked up last nite and took it for a test run in the garden. The soil was still a little wet, but it really did a great job. The bonus was how quiet and powerful it was. My comparison is using the tiller on my JD 212, which did a nice job, but the manual lift and bouncing around is a night and day difference compared to the 982 & 442.

I agree with ACecil, nice looking gardens

novaman_68 04-30-2010 10:43 PM

All I can say is wow!!!

I finally got my 1872 operational today and mowed my yard. I have had several other riders, (snapper, murray, grazer ztr, etc) and none of them even compared to my Cub. I have NEVER mowed my yard that fast or had anything cut that nice. I don't think I will ever get rid of it!!!! Now I want to start finding attachments so I can get even more use out of it.

Diz Jr. 05-01-2010 08:06 AM

Glad to hear that novaman_68.
I agree, Mowing with the Cubs is sooooooo great :biggrin2.gif:

CBH 05-01-2010 05:58 PM

We had the Cubs out today mowing the yard. Afterwords, I knocked the dust off them and decided it would be a nice photo opp.
Left to right.....124, 126, and the 1872

Nice line up!

Mountain Heritage 05-02-2010 07:43 AM

It certainly is nice to have "picture day" isn't it? Tiller set up looks to have gone quite well Toyman! All the head scratching and searching paid off. Think you will have to throw some weights on the front to keep it leveled out or does it handle the weight of the tiller okay? That thing must weight three to four hundred pounds wouldn't it???

Hey JayBrd....how about a little info on them harrow's you have hooked up?? They must be some sort of drag harrows that went behind a couple horses??? How they work, adjustable or they fixed working depth? Certainly look good behind the 682, those tires look great too!

MH - I ran it thru it's paces again yesterday just to see that everything is working well. Pressure washed her and changed fluids. I'm thinking about a weight bracket up front. The front tires skate a little when I'm turning around in the yard, but other than that, it hasn't been an issue. It is a heavy duty piece. Good luck with yours. I'll be following along!

Started working on the 450 blower this morning. It's going to be a bigger project than I thought. Need a few minor parts and some seals to keep the grease in the gear box, a good cleaning and it should be good to go for the upcoming winter.

ACecil 05-02-2010 07:32 PM

Had to pick up some limbs from all the wind, we've had lately. I got the 100 and #2 cart out to help.

Diz Jr. 05-02-2010 09:43 PM

Beautiful picture of the 100 and cart ACecil.

CBH 05-02-2010 09:58 PM

Looks like a big field behind you! How do you keep that 100 out of there?

ACecil 05-02-2010 10:48 PM

Thanks guys! :beerchug:

It's hard, CBH, but I don't think the farmer that owns the field would like me on his land...LOL.

MH, that's just an old spring tooth drag that has been on my mother-in-laws farm since I have been a part of that side of the family. It adjusts with the 2 levers out the top. As far as horse drawn....I can't know. It has been on it's last leg for the past 10yrs, and keeps on working. There are also some floating around that are the same set up, but with railroad spikes instead of the spring teeth. I am still on the search for one of those..

I did get to use the 682 yesterday to do the final turning and disking of the garden. She is fully baptised after turning in 2-3 yrds of manure I spread last evening. Let's just say we were a tad covered :biggrin2.gif:
