I've toiled over whether or not to re-use the bolts. Most likely, I'll run down to the hardware store and get what I need since many of them were pretty rusty where you'd see them. Plus, I'd already replaced some of them a while back.
My brother about freaked when I suggested putting in store bought bolts, something about IH markings and all. :biggrin2: Like I said, most of them were so badly rusted that the IH isnt' even a consideration. Plus, I've never been a "numbers and paint codes" kinda guy. Why start NOW! :biggrin2: |
Mine are all in good shape. That is why I am going to reuse them. I have access for all bolts for free if I need to replace any. Even Stainless. :biggrin2:
But I don't think I will bling it up too much. Maybe a new chrome acorn nut for the steering wheel. OH, I am getting a new steering wheel. There is a product that will fill the cracks and I could repaint the old one but I think I will make a clock out of it.. :beerchug: |
your doing better then me. I have yet to paint any parts on my O. still fab work to do on the frame for the narrow front end

That's super nice Andy. Did you do any body work at all or is that just primer and paint? And I know what you're talking about with the majjic paint. Mine sagged quite a bit on my rims and other areas with the white and yellow. I'm thinking it's a combination of too much layed down at once on my part and the old Florida humidity during the summer. Yours looks amazing though, great job buddy!

thanks guys!
Here's a couple of today's progress. Alvy, I haven't done too much body work but that's about to change with the hood and fenders. There's a few holes in the fenders and the hood is a little wavy up toward the front. I have to paint the clutch and driveshaft and do a quick touch up of the engine before placing it on the frame. I may get a few chances this week to work on that stuff, we'll see how life flows out. Here's the pix! http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/...ps96ba3153.jpg http://i1282.photobucket.com/albums/...ps6bbeb6a4.jpg |
Very nice:beerchug:
