I really like this 86, but wish I never sold my model 100! Got to have an all-gear IH Cub Cadet in the line up, to complement that IH Cub Cadet hydro,...or CCC ! One a side note: I had planed to trade the 86 for some 1450 parts, but I hooked a perfectly running 1450 for $140.00 , so that was that. Don't need any parts for my good 1450. Then, I switched gears and decided I want to have my 1211 as a plow day tractor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But, this 86 might go. For me, its the thrill of the hunt, lol! I pretty much have what I like and want. { planning on gearing up for some major OEM up grades to my 1450, got all I need to } |
John, you planning on going to Renfrew plow day? I've been wanting to go for a couple years but haven't been able to. Really gonna make an effort for thi nov. By the way, The flaps do look good nice. Roy

Well, yesterday I picked up a running Kohler K341A! Had to have been out of a 169,.... and a creeper for my 86! Looks like I found my winter project!

Here is the Kohler K341A that came out of a model 169! I might not install the creeper. With a 16 horse gear drive, I think I might have a plow tractor finally! This is going to be great!
http://i58.tinypic.com/16anml4.jpg[/ I have another good carb, and the starter generator on the 86 was said to be good. Should plug right in after a drive hub change, I hope. The big 16 will be gone through to determine it's condition. Ahead of this is the finish-up of my 1450, and I want to get back to the 72 thread here at OCC preparing it for winter snow fighting duty!! Man, my first ever 16, it's quite a juggernaught of an engine. I can barely turn it over past the compression stroke by hand. later on guys, :American Flag 1: |
Those are rare John, where did you get it?

A long time buddy of mine stopped over this past weekend. He is the same guy I sold my 100 to. I showed him my recent collection, and my 86. When I told him the engine was bad, he said he has this K341. I gave him $50 for it. He said it runs, and usually he don't have any thing that don't run. I think his wife is helping him to "slow" down, he is an older gent. After I spun the engine to see if it had any compression, I knew I could make it fly! Might have to put some money into this one, lol! All I know, is that I would like to build a plow tractor,................
Thanks Nick! |
