One other option that might work to remove the paint is oven cleaner. Spray it in a hidden area to test first. Be sure to remove the hood from the tractor to avoid damaging paint on other parts.

Cover the sprayed area with a trash bag...give it time to work...hose it off.

Many brands of oven cleaner contain lye, which is an effective paint remover.
