Ok. Just wanted to make sure. I am hoping the lift rod is long enough. haven't tried to mount it yet.

Is your tractor an early 2182 or a later 2182? From the pic you posted it looks like a late 2182. They made a rock shaft change partway through the production. The late machines use the black part the early machines did not but if I recall correctly you may need a brace of some sort to reinforce the rockshaft if you have an early machine. :bigthink:

Its an earlier model. Tell me more about this brace you are talking about. Need to know if anyone knows. My tractor is a very low hour machine so hopefully it will work the way it is for a very long time.

It's a link that connects that connects W to S. Item R in this pic. It was originally designed for the Haban snow plows. It reduces the likelihood of breaking the weld on the rock shaft and trust me you do not want to have to replace a rockshaft.

Hhhmmmm. :bigthink: Thanks for the detailed diagram. Just looked at my tractor and am now brainstorming how to brace W to S. Shouldn't be too hard to get a piece made. I can see how it makes sense to brace them together. The snowblower is very heavy. I wonder if Extreme makes this part? Would be a good one to make and sell! Hint hint!!

I tore up my rockshaft that way with a Haban plow, it was before I knew what that cross shaft support brace was for. Huge regret on that one.
