Good grief! Whats with all the negative attitude here! He didn't ask anyone to search out parts for him, he was merely asking if anyone had run across better prices than he already had. If you don't have useful info move on! its pretty simple. some people like the challenge of building stuff, and not spending full price on everything.

Havent been on here n a few days for a few reasons. Heres a site i found right quick.

http://www.griggslawnandtractor.net/...l-socket-cat-0.

Not exactly what i found previously, but for 4, $36.72 shipped.

Xtreme for 4 shipped, $53.12

Did find some on Ebay for 5.99 ea + shipping

The "top ends" that are in discussion are 1/2" id swivel ends that a guy can get from McMaster, relatively inexpensive.

Do a google search, they are out there, gotta findem

Otherwise, a few bucks here n there wont break the project, as mentioned before, buying all new materials, building them correctly will still put you a mile ahead of buying the repro arms. Actually Johnny products is a decent cat 0 source

I'm retired and will spend all day making a $10.00 part just for the satisfaction of doing it.

I'm sorry if I offended any of you, I have removed my replies to this thread. I'll let the OP and the rest of you experts work it out. My 3 points work just fine, thank you very much. This trying to help and then getting a bunch of crap is getting very old. :beerchug:

It wasn't you Sam. I usually mind my own business. I guess I need to keep doing that. Just seems like a few people have cabin fever or something, this place has been a little touchy the last few months, more so than it used to be.
This is the Home made forum after all, I just don't get it.
