Haven't made much progress lately, with everything that's been going on there just hasn't been time. I will be setup at the local fair all next week to promote the powder coat business so it looks like it's gonna be another week, I did put all the lines coming off the spool on hand tight and test fit the gas tank to make sure it clears and it does by about an 1/8". Next week is gonna be a long one, I will be working my normal hours at the shop and then I will be up at the fair for another 5hrs.

Not to much, turns out I know somebody that's an amateur machinist and he made me these parts which will eventually become the levers for the valve.

Got some work done today on the handles, I decided to go with round stock for the handles which I will thread and put handles on.

Coming along nice , If I may suggest, add circumferential gussets to the levers where they are welded.
Easier now then later when they break:beerchug:

I drilled into both pieces so the handles went in until they bottomed out on the cross shaft, I didn't just weld the rod on. I tested them out by putting them in a vice and I was pulling hard enough to start tipping the bench, should be plenty strong.

ol'George 09-20-2016 09:20 PM

That should work well then.
I had not anticipated you drilled pockets.
