So true, Sam. The belt doesn't seem to be in bad shape, but I went on ahead and ordered a new one. :beerchug:

The new water pump arrived today. Waiting on a couple more parts, and hopefully the 1512 will be a runner again. :beerchug:

Hope to have the 1512 going this Saturday. :beerchug:

No luck in getting the 1512 going over the weekend. Got the new water pump in, and when the bolts are tightened, the pulley freezes up. Will probably take it to the Kubota dealer. Very disappointed at the moment.

Sorry to hear of your struggles.

Allen maybe post a video of what you’re looking at. If old water pump “seized” and new one is also binding up when tightened, chances are something may have gotten stuck in the impeller housing or something else. Im sure we can figure this out

Mike, the guy helping me with the 1512 did get this pic of where the water pump mounts to the block. I'm not sure, if it helps or not.

Make sure both mounting surfaces are flat. Then reassemble and bring the bolts up against. Start tightening in a criss cross pattern.
Keep spinning the water pump as you tighten to see if one bolt makes the water pump stop turning easily. It is possible the water pump casting is warped and when it gets tightened, it binds it up. Good luck Jeff |
