Here is the EXACT fitment from Cub Cadet Ca parts ref:

https://www.amazon.ca/Aokus-HUAYI-Ca...9352960&sr=8-1

It is the same carb, but has a 'Huaiy' stamping in the body, and double the price.

Ahh well that sucks, the first one would have been here Tuesday and this one is double. So I’m looking for part # 951-14023A then?

Yup. The Amazon link I provided is for Canada. It's $33 in GWN money, so that's about the cost of a Latte, N'est-ce pas?

I would go with the first link and save some bucks, it'll fit, it'll work, just drain the fuel after each use and you'll be fine.

Ya know, you can spend a few weeks, and a few bucks on mystery fluids, and take it off, and put it back on, and adjust, and fiddle with it for weeks. Or, you can go on Amazon and buy a carb, with a shut off valve and start blowing snow in a few hours.

I am not generally a fan of throwing parts at it, but if the choke fixes the running problem, you have one of the small passages in the carb blocked. Most likely by detritus from bad fuel, or from some deposits of corrosion after the water in the fuel broke down.

So, buy this, take the old carb off, put the new carb on, insert the shut off valve in the fuel line and move on with your life.

When you are done moving the snow around, set the throttle to idle, and turn off the fuel supply at the red valve, and let the engine die. When you want to use it again, turn on the red valve, let it sit for 2 min to fill the float bowl with fuel, and run it. Lather, rinse, repeat.

The carb job is not hard, but pay attention to the throttle rod, and small spring, be gentle. Maybe replace the spark plug too, as your choked engine may have now fouled the spark plug.

Edited to correct carb PN.

Ahhh ok so this one will work ? I had ordered and then canceled but will order again

Haha just seen the edit , so won’t arrive by Tuesday, ok will have to be patient then and wait for it’s arrival. Lol

Lolz, I think I'm making this too complicated. The only excuse I have is I've been drinking heavily as my Cowboys won today. :biggrin2:

Don't forget the red fuel line shut off valve, you can get them at Home Depot, or the Ca equivalent, or you can order from amazon.ca at the same time.

I ordered the carb according to the Amazon link and it says shipping arrival is upto Jan 21 so meanwhile I’d like to pull this carb and give it a soak to see if anything changes, forecast says rain all week and then back to snow. What pieces should I be aware that must not go in the cleaner?

I guess that depends on what cleaner you plan to use.....:bigthink::biggrin2:

It’s the Gunk cc3k parts and carb cleaner , comes in a gallon with the basket.

I recommend this guy.

Should get it a lot sooner and probably better quality.
