:Welcome2: magnav45750! Glad to have you! Sounds like you have an Original, since it has the oil bath air cleaner and the 7 hp Kohler. Please post some pics of it. :beerchug:

i just took it apart to start restoring it. but it ran yesterday. havnt tried to drive it yet, I know the brakes dont work much cause I locked them down and forgot and then pushed it manually easily. I have lots more pics but they are more for ease of puttin it back together. I am missing the oil bath assy. I have seen them around online so I will probably order one from that site. I also have the deck for it as well. I plan on using it hopefully next summer as my main mower! If you have any advise on how to get manuels for it that would be great. Thanks for the help. Is this a rare mower?

Serial Number

The Number on the side of the gear casing is 351530-R7. oh wait, you said vertically, this may not be the right number then. I will have to look again. These numbers are stamped horizontally. We will see. I sure appreciate the help!!!

Thanks guys

Thanks. I also have a 48" mower deck for it that just needs a little painting. I got the whole setup in return for my carpentry labor. He needed help putting a 12 x 22 loft with an LVL beam and a set of stairs in his big old garage. couple or 3 days work with him helping. After I shot the pictures I filled up the tank and did some lawn sweeping with it but the gas leaked out of the cap and went all over the tank and screwed the paint on the tank up. GRRRRR. Rustoleum and gasoline don't work well together I guess. Anything else I should use?

I'm not restoring it to original condition. I;m just going to do what I like to it. I plan on having my buddy do up the vinyl lettering style like on the Original Model=not the 124. I just like the script style and the International better than the stripe on the later models. I'll still probably have the 124 on the dash sides maybe in an oval or something. And, sadly I plan to have the name "Babygirl" in script on both sides of the hood in memory of my best friend I lost just last Columbus day. She was a 9 year old cocker spaniel that we managed to keep with us for another year because we treated her with chemotherapy due to her lymphoma. I don't ever want to forget her. Like the saying goes-Never Forget.

Yes it does. Race car plug wire. It was all I had but I thought it was kind of cool. Woops, wrong quote. Pretty plug wire is solid core.

these are the verticle numbers that are on the reduction housing and there is a space like I am showing it 1 576 4. does this mean that mine is called a origional as its model and the 576 as its serial #. I have looked the whole thing over and that is all it has. When I look up things about my tractor and they want model info "origional" doesnt usually work and so far no mixture of 1 576 4 is pulling up anything. I understand that serial # started in the early 500s but that doesnt seem to work in part and manuel forums. They all want a much longer number. I guess I am just not getting it or it really is this confusing and this is normal.

magnav45750,
Try looking in the area marked with red in this photo. It should be very close to this area.
