Allen,
I am glad Duke hooked you up and he is truly someone to look up to....:beerchug: Well I was having problems shifting the 72 the other day so I had to split it to see what was going on in there.Looked pretty good in there no rust or water,I drained out the fluid and did not see the proverbial Niagara Falls coming out the drain hole...:BlahBlah: One fork was rubbing against the other so I loosened the shifter fork bolts and tweaked them slightly.Filled it up while I have the shifter off and then worked on the clutch. They replaced the disc and the trued up the plates but the T.O. bearing was shot, and so was the teaser spring.New parts and were good to go. Picked up some N.O.S. hubcaps at an IH dealer and put them on the 72. http://i899.photobucket.com/albums/a...lePics1215.jpg |
Very sharp 72, Lew!

Great pictures, guys! :beerchug:
Yesterday I found another yellow and white 82 series, :biggrin2:.........An '87 1810, with about 750 hrs. Does need some work, and I haven't heard it run yet......but it does have compression. I don't have much in it...so I couldn't resist! :biggrin2: Do have side panels, and front PTO.....just not installed. |
