I got the hood, grill, and seat bracket painted today. That's finally the last pieces to be painted. I'm hoping to have it back together this weekend.

That looks so dangerous please tell me you used some stands as back-up and not just trust your life on the loader.

Made a Tow Bar

As i have a lot of cubs I needed a way to move some of them when I am with out help . So i came up with this for my narrow frames . Workes good as long as you do not hit a big hole . Will make one for wide frames too later on .

Great idea camarokidz28

ihnick 07-10-2010 08:37 PM

I was thinking of making something like this but to lift the front of the tractor instead. I suppose if I made a carry all of some sort with wheel chocks that might work huh?

Matt G. 07-10-2010 09:21 PM

No 682 work today...went to a large consignment auction with Cubs. I didn't buy any tractors. Prices were all over.

'O' with blade, deck, messed up hood, wrong K181 engine, smoked, horrible paint job - $600
1440 - $650
109, running, but ugly - $100
1450, looked nice, but smoked and needed a PTO clutch and most of a deck - $125
107 w/ deck non-running - $90
1200 needing starter - $165

Needless to say, I'll probably not own any more Originals other than the one I have...

Diz Jr. 07-10-2010 10:32 PM

Took the deck off of the 169 this afternoon to do some repairs. Decided to put the rear blade on and grade my driveway and the neighbors. This is the first time i have had the rear blade on this one. It sure dose work nice.

johncub7172 07-10-2010 11:27 PM

Hey, how come your picture is not in my Farmall Cub & Cub Cadet book?

ihnick 07-10-2010 11:34 PM

Prices over. Those are cheap prices 90-165 sure seems cheap unless they were to the point of scrapping?

T-Mo 07-10-2010 11:44 PM

I took my 104 no. 2 and pulled my cherry picker up from near my back shed to the front of the property where my and my brother-in-law were pulling the engine in his 2001 Nissan Sentra. Then I pulled the cherry picker with the engine attached away from the car so we can drop the engine to the ground.

JayBrd 07-11-2010 06:11 AM

I finally found my camera :bash2: So I can finally get something posted! After putting in one of the last sections of grass I got time to mount up the toolbox the wife and daughter got me for my b-day. It's super nice to have extra pins and tools (along with the odd band-aid or two) right there and not have to run back to the garage or 80 acres back to the house for something. I also mounted a rear light for pulling late nights getting the food plots in at the in-laws in a few weeks.

Aaron at extreme motor works really does a bang up job on his items. I have his step pads and new front bumper/weight bracket coming this week also.

It's probably because there are just so many of these things around here...the market is saturated. I wouldn't have scrapped any of them. I would not have been able to make any money fixing them up and selling them, as resale prices seem to be way down. This is part of why I'm trying to get mostly out of this.

ACecil 07-11-2010 10:03 AM

Great pics, Diz & Jay!

Diz Jr. 07-11-2010 10:05 AM
