(we got like 700 acres around our house to play with the cubs!!!) Goo to hear that you got some cub time!!!
|
Well I decided to get all but one of my cubs out and let mother nature wash the dust off of them from their long winter nap.

Tyler,
the dune buggy is a hunk of junk and would make a great boat anchor. It has a 250cc engine that has one problem after another, bad cdi, replaced, bad coil replaced........now its on its third trip down and i haven't checked it out yet but the kids are itching to get it going.I have 2 acres but in the middle picture, behind that fence line is thousands of acres of national/blm land, granted i cant plant it but if i was itching i sure would take a plow out there and drag it around!!JK But it is great for motorcycle riding, goggle Rainbow basin, seriously or owl canyon that place is a fossil bed about a mile out behind my back yard Back on topic Lonny I wish i could let mother nature wash my cub but it would get sand blasted before that!!! nice heard you have there. |
Today I installed a set of wheel weights that I just picked up on the 125. I traded a seat spring for a farmall M from one of my parts tractors for a set of rear weights that I think are for a wheelhorse? they are very heavy 50# each?? they didn't have the cut outs for the valve stem so I mounted them on the inside. Also got the plow out and set up for the upcoming plow day.
|
john k, Way to go tradeing for the wheel weights  Sound like nice ones.
|
Thanks Diz jr, I try to trade for things if I can . Sometimes it's parts or I trade carpentry work. I like to play with my tractors without much out of pocket expense.

Well it turns out the 1650 I bought for $100 has a K321 in it. I noticed it was shaking pretty bad and discovered that the PO only had two engine mounts bolts in it. Last night I pulled the engine, one bolt was busted off in the pan but I was able to remove with an easy out. I pulled the head and spent most of the evening warming up parts in the oven and de-carbing with Easy Off. I will need to tap new thread int he carb body. The PO used a sheet metal screw to mount the air celaner box because he was too lazy to do the job right. The hydro lift lever is still immovable, the piston in the cylinder is really in there tight. Gotta give the PB blaster one more try and them maybe some love taps with a small hammer to free it up. The frame had at one time been painter red, but htis is definately a wide frame and not a spread frame. That's kind of a mystery. Updates to come.
