I have been on the hunt for a starter for a cool project for some time now. I have a coffin plate and some odds and ends but missing the big pieces. CCarney are they only making the plate or are they trying to reproduce the whole gig? I was trying to find someone to let me get meausements to have some of the parts made but they are hard to find let alone let me meause/ borrow to meause the parts.

I have a Lickety Log Splitter that has a 8HP Kohler with a pull start. It doesn't have ACR and is almost dangerous to start. It kicked back on my once and pulled the starter handle out of my hand. It pulled a few muscles and pulled until it snapped the rope. I heard the handle wiz by my head (I didn't see it). It happened so fast I had no time to react.

I would think a pull start 10HP Kohler would be SCARY. I learned how to start that log splitter correctly. Pull it over slow until the compression stroke then pull fast as you can. It usually starts on the first or second pull.
