I've had similar issues and looked at and changed every part you talked about nothing helped till I put a different plug wire on it , would let it run at idle and part throttle but crap out above half throttle ! just a thought

I tried another plug wire already. Forgot to mention that... I didn’t open the points cover yet. Maybe I should check that too and see how the points look. Thanks for the ideas guys.

Well I swapped the condenser, replaced the points (they looked pretty bad) and thought I found the problem because the points were rusty looking. Still the same issue. So I went back to the fuel system. Pulled everything back apart. I found a piece of rubber stuck in the outlet hole of the sediment bowl. It came from the fuel line fitting I think. So I’m going to have to replace that, and then I think I’ll be good to go. It allowed fuel to come through but I think it blocked it enough to be a problem. There’s nothing else it can be. I’m either going to replace those fittings or switch to a petcock and soft fuel line. In other news, the drive shaft has a wobble in it when the engine runs, and it causes a vibration. So once the engine is resolved I will have to move on to the drivetrain.

Good to hear you got it running, those rubber sleeves tend to fall apart and cause your issue...
|
Don't jump ahead... it's not running yet, I need to pick up some supplies to rebuild the fuel delivery system. Though, I'm pretty confident you'll be correct in that I got it running. :biggrin2:
