My deck serial number is only 976 newer than yours. I wonder if they were added at the factory or a field fix for something?

The 325 decks have the piece in yellow under just the center spindle from the factory. Of course, the decks that are hammered have outer bearing cup holes all twisted up!:bash2:

I've had some that had the plates and some that didn't. Seems like Haban had more variations than we will ever know. Probably ran out during production and sent them out the door without the plates. :biggrin2:

I'll have to look but I'm almost sure mine had them also... It was bought new in 1990 with a 1782.. maybe they figured out they weren't needed and deleted them later?:bigthink:
