I was able to teach two of my 3 boys the fine are of blowing this past weekend. Too bad the snow was super wet. They had a hard time not clogging it.

At least they had fun!

bignastyGS 01-20-2011 07:12 PM

The only snow removal I have been doing lately is in my Mack Granite cab snow plow at work. Going to get more seat time at midnight again as we are supposed to get 3-6 here. Haven't had any time to mess with my Cub at all,but I did push out the last 4 inches we had...

Diz Jr. 01-20-2011 08:40 PM

Nicely loaded 71! Love the original condition of the tractor and I like the restored blower!

Thanks a bunch Kevin!! Your tractors are Awesome:beerchug: I absolutely LOVE my 71, didn't realize at the time of purchase what a sweet tractor it is. I fell in love with Cubs cause I saw an Original with fenders and said . I was fortunate enough to find one a week after I saw it online which led to the 71 purchase as I caught the fever! I got the 71 for $400 and it came with mower and the cc36 thrower that is on it now. The thrower was in bad shape and I impressed myself(which is hard to do) with how it turned out, I call it refurbished cause if I was to "restore" it, I probably wouldn't use it:biggrin2.gif:. The 71 has all the bells and whistles and she run's like a top too! I'll be mounting the Danco loader on it and I think(personally) that it'll be the sweetest looking cub around. Ok, sorry, had a good day snowboarding and I'm a little :BlahBlah:.

ACecil 01-21-2011 04:46 PM

Kevin, I've said it before, that's one sharp Original! :beerchug:

Tractor2nv 01-23-2011 11:40 AM

Thanks Allen! I have three more rollers/basket case Originals coming soon, one is paid for just have to go get it. Georg Eisenberger from Germany that is a member on this forum is needing parts for his "O" and going to try to help him with some parts. His "O" was purchased last year in LaPorte,IN at the Red Power Round Up Show...but was in very sad condition.

Got another good dumping here in the Lower Hudson Valley last night. Temps just under freezing made for some heavy, wet snow. I plowed every 3 or 4 inches so that I would be able to move it ok. It was about 10" total at my place.

ACecil 01-27-2011 02:53 PM

Thanks for the awesome action pics, Steve! :beerchug:

Very nice pics Steve!! I woke up to all the snow coming off the barn/shop roof, was a load of extremely heavy snow/ice and took me about an hour:biggrin2.gif: to clean up the mess, touched up the driveway some in preperation for the next snow, which I don't see in the forecast:angry:. Just my luck, I'm going to pick up another Original with creeper next wednesday and It'll probably dump as I've got a 13 hour round trip to get it:beer2:

Could really use a Danco RD1000 loader to move some of these piles!!!

ACecil 01-27-2011 05:29 PM

Again Jude, your Original looks right at home in the snow! :beerchug:

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. In 1961 didn't IH plan on selling only 500 Originals, mainly for industrial use? Amazing what these little 7 hp tractors can do! Pics tells all dude!

gcbailey 01-27-2011 06:53 PM

sheesh... I go from not wanting to get a blade for the 'O' to seeing this stuff.... wow :)

Cool pic William! How much snow did you get down there??

william1041200 01-28-2011 04:55 AM

we got about 10 inches. Power went out about 9 pm. Had to go to friends house in another town for my baby's sake. Yesterday was warm. All in all, we got left with about 5 inches. Probably Solid ice now.

Right after I took that pic, I went for a night ride. Cub riding in a White-out!!
Now its stuck in the yard.. :beerchug:

My real first test

I did a couple small snows of dry powder, but this 14 inches of wet snow was a challenge ! small carving, or layers seemed to work best but this sure was easier than shoveling! Don't ya just love machines?
Here's a link to a video from yesterday.
