Looks great! What are the decals on the tunnel?

Nato527 06-18-2018 01:31 PM

Ha! That was my wife " helping " me with the rest of the decals that came in the kit. " thanks honey, looks great" . I don't think they even go on that tractor. Don't have the heart to take them off.

Just swapped out the front end with one off 1811. It raised the front up a little, need to adjust the mower

I thought the front rims and spindles looked a little different!?:bigthink:

How does she steer?

It steers ok, I guess. It's almost like it oversteers, if you crank it all the way to the left or right it's hard to straighten back up. Not sure if I need to put stops on it or something. This picture is when I was mocking it up. Had a couple front ends and tires to pick from. These are different wheels and tires than what's on there now. What's on there now doesn't stick out quite as much. Any advice?

Usually do not see the tires standing that plumb... Usually looks like this " \ / "
Not like this " l l " Without the proper camber the tractor steering will have less return-ability to center.

I gotcha, makes sense. I used all the parts off the donor tractor. Tie rods, steering link, etc.... it's a little sloppier than my old front end. I had to donate that one to my dads 104 I did for him. Could that be what it is? Worn out spindles? There's no adjustment for camber is there?

Not one that doesn’t require welding. :biggrin2:
You should start a thread in the IH section and get some other people to look at it too.
