Little tires always seem harder to deal with. |
Got my 782 ready for the snow today. Picked up the new belt and new pulley to make the 451 work on my 782. Fired it up and everything seemed to work great. The ultimate test will be when PennDOT fills the end of my driveway with a 2 foot snowbank. I just have to find or fabricate some wheel weights and I should be all set.

Great job, Bill! :beerchug:
I need to get in the yard, but it's raining, so no seat time today. |
No pictures
I took the 100 out to grind up and blow some leaves to the curb. The 100 never did seem to cut as well as the 104 and I just found out why. I thought it had something to do with a dent on the front right side and left it at that. Well the leaves started to pile up around the deck and I found myself watching the deck and raising it when it was needed. That's when I saw the drive belt on the deck bouncing w a y too much. I must have moved the pulley at least a half an inch to tighten it up. So if I get another chance to try and wrangle the leaves I'll get to see how much of an improvement it made. I felt pretty stupid never looking farther than the bend on the deck.

The 70 haul 2 IH Cub Cadets rear ends up to the shop today.

The 100 rear end is for a future 100 that I want to build. My Son notice the rear end in his 86 was hurt some when he did some upgrades before Ohio Plow Day this fall. The plan is to make it more bullet proof so it can handle the power that the 86 makes. When my Son is done with school (3rd year engineering student) he wants to pull a puller. The plan is to disassemble the 72, 104 or a 124 and do the needed upgrades to it. We have local puller that gave us several suggestions plus a few different internet sites that we can get infomation from. Hopefully I will hear a few good suggestions on this site. Should be an interresting topic. |
