Thanks guys! The 100 definitely looks better with the duals. :beerchug:

ihnick 10-17-2010 12:29 AM

So do you get to keep the 3pt setup and plow for the 100 allen?

ACecil 10-17-2010 12:52 AM

Nick, when I plow, I'll take the outer tires off and install the weights in the inner tires. :beerchug:

No pics, but today we trenched a water line. I used one of my 104s and a box blade to push in the dirt back into the trench and then to smooth and level it. Worked good, even without weights and just plain turf tires.

Here's the 104 I used:

ACecil 10-17-2010 10:37 AM

The 104 and box blade look nice. :beerchug:

Great talking to you yesterday Allen! The 100 is looking awesome! Got to love the bib overalls too nice touch!

Methos 10-18-2010 02:10 AM

Great updates and pics everyone. Been offline all weekend so trying to play catch up now. But I haven't been sitting idling by well maybe a little when I was talking to Allen on the phone. :biggrin2.gif:

I kinda spilled to beans to Allen wasn't going to say anything until I got it all done but got talking and next thing ya know I spilled the beans! Almost done will finish up next weekend if all goes well. My son was right there to help me out as always.

He paints as well as I do but he's happier to paint then I am. I hate to paint but I got tired of all my friends telling me that my 122 looks good after I washed it!:ScrewLoose: I just took the loader off. So now I'm doing something that I hate to do just to make it look a little better to non-cub people. It'll stop the rust but not going to be a award winning paint job by no means. It should look great from about 100-200 ft away. One day I'll have it painted right but this will work until then.

ACecil 10-18-2010 08:41 AM

Thanks Duke! It was great talking to you, as well! Your son looks to be having an awesome time. I can't wait to see the finished product! :IH Trusted Hand:

ihnick 10-18-2010 10:37 PM

Seat time is great! Isn't it, Nick? :beerchug:

nikster 10-19-2010 06:08 AM

Last weekend I spent nearly 3 hours cutting every bush & tree that kept smacking me in the face & let them lay there. So I finally made the trees to look like trees again. I think i'll be good for 4/6 years or so?
Last filling of the 6 carts that I loaded this past Sunday.

Hey how about that yeller on the cart? My wife really likes it. Spring project I think?

Boy that color grows on you, don't it?

Mowed the lawn and hauled some fire wood in the trailer today. Thought I would share a pic.

IHinIN 10-19-2010 08:31 PM

Put on the plow and finished plowing my garden. I was surprised how well the plow pulled since we haven't had much rain all summer. We had 2/10ths last night so that helped soften the ground a little.

The hydraulic lift makes it so nice. No more Armstronging it.

Well, couldn't get the 2nd tine extension off of tiller for Duke so I took it down to my local Cub dealer to let them deal with it:bash2:. Came home and sprayed some of the blower parts, replaced tie rod end with a heim joint and it has a grease zerk too and popped the bushings out of front wheels on the O'. Check out the brass bushings that were in the wheels:bigthink:, the pic is one of the new bushings sitting next to one of the brass ones! And drove the 71 around for a bit, you know, had to check out that new heim joint:biggrin2.gif:

Mountain Heritage 10-23-2010 05:48 PM

I have a question for Allen.....I see your 100 often and it looks sweet....but what the heck do you mow your grass with?? Or do you just have astro turf lawn??? :HeadScratch:

ACecil 10-23-2010 06:26 PM

Mike, believe it or not, we mow with a Snapper RER. Our yard isn't that big, and the Snapper does an awesome job!

Mountain Heritage 10-24-2010 08:00 AM

 That would explain it Allen...... all coming together now in my pea brain. :biggrin2.gif:

Glad to see you still went with the Cub for all the other work.

IHinIN 10-24-2010 10:11 AM

I added a little weight to my 100 for snow plowing and it works with the sleeve hitch too as long as it's in the bottom holes on the lower 3-point bracket. It's a piece of 4" tubing 15" long. I had a bunch of 5/8" threaded rod in my shed left behind by the P.O. so I cut it into 15" pieces and filled the tube with it. It weighs 63 lbs. It bolts to the hitch with a 1/2" bolt and a strap that clamps over the hitch plate.

http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...0-23-10002.jpg

http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...23-10001-1.jpg

I also added a curve to the top of my stack. Every time I start up the 100 after it sits a while it blows condensation out the stack. Now it will blow it away from me instead of straight up and back down on me. The first time it did it I thought it was raining.

kwduffy 10-24-2010 03:00 PM

After playing in the mud yesterday for a bit, got home and took the rear plow off and put the front blade on to get ready for winter.
