I try to keep the garage clean. Don't hate me. Just my 2 cents but as far as I'm concerned the Cyclops are the last of the best. |
i know what you mean on the hood and other parts now i have a nos. hood that someone needed and they just did not follow through with the plans to do what they say they will. you know who you are no name calling here but you know who you are. and i will not try to help you out any more . and i will spred the word when people ask about you .we are pretty close and alot of people know me . and are always looking for tractors and parts. i will let them know who not to deal with. if you are not as good as your word then you are not much of a man. around here a man is as good as his own word. i will use my hood my self and justg to let you know i got the engine anyway. please do not take this post away people need to know that everyone on occ is not as easy to deal with as others. thanks Joe Allen smoker club of N.C.:biggrin2:

I don’t wish to get into a rant on this site but feel compelled to address the comments that you have made about me. First, you called me about an engine that I had listed in the for sale section. You offered me $50.00 for it. When I said no you then offered to trade for it. I mentioned that I could use a good Cyclops hood. You said that you would see if you could find one. I said if you could we had a deal. Unfortunately I didn’t write down your contact information, big mistake on my part. I didn’t hear from you for 3 or 4 weeks and assumed that you were not able to find a hood or that you had changed your mind. During this time Oak contacted me and offered what I considered to be a reasonable price for the engine. We made a deal. He sent me a check. Shortly after you called and I tried to explain to you what had happened but you got all PO’d that I had sold it to someone else. I delivered the engine to Vince O for Oak to pick up at Plow Day as agreed. In reading your post it appears that you and Oak have made a deal and that you now have the engine in question but that you are sitting on a hood that you acquired for me. If this is the case I’ll buy the hood from you so that your not out anything. I don’t need it because I just got one from Rich Patton but I don’t want you to have to sit on something that you bought for me. Hopefully we can get this sorted out over a cold one and you’ll see that I am someone that you can trust. Send me a PM with your phone number and I'll give you a shout. Sam |
sam i did not call names i just felt that i got a bad deal from you it had only been 2 weeks since i had called you . any way pm me and i will try to call tonight to get worked out . the hood will be used later on a project dont worry about that i always have somthing to work on out of about 30 tractors i should be able to use it later. your coment you made earlier in the post is what triggered all of this i am a man of my word .you can ask anyone on here that knowes me they will tell you that. thanks joe smoker club of nc

PM sent. Sam |
Just a quick word in regards to this issue. Thanks for keeping this relatively neighborly, but all comments and future issues will be passed on thru PM's or other person to person options. Just as a note, we do have a link for Rules here at the forum and this is just one of many that I hope everyone here on the site has read.

Joe and I had a nice talk, everything is all good. Looking forward to meeting him and some of the other guys that are in the area. :beerchug: Sam |
I am glad to hear that. I hate seeing people on here have issues then start all the mud slinging in public. You all have a good cold one for me too. :beerchug:

Finally got the last gage I needed from Summit racing to install gages on the 2182. Made the dash panel out of some leftover ¼” Lexan I had from my racecar days. Painted it with Krylon Fusion. Put them in and changed the hydro fluid. Just about done on the 3 Supers now. Cut the filter open just to make sure nothing is starting to go bad. This is something I do on a routine basis on oil changes. It can give you a heads up if something is starting to fail. I also like to get the rear of the tractor up in the air to drain all the oil out. These are the part numbers should some of you wish to do the same thing.

Wow the last time I saw that many guages was on an airplane dash. Nice job though

Just oil press, water temp, volts and hour meter plus the low gas light. I hate lights, by the time they come on it's over anyway. :beerchug: |
Just had to bump. Nice read.
