That new fancy clutch sure looks nice.

Glad it survived the smoke test Sam! :beerchug: Gonna be a sweet tractor!
|
Looks good so far! I like your work stand. Is it store bought or something you built? My back is begging for something like that.

Looking great Sam!!:beerchug:

Of course that is going to be a solid tractor that has been bullet proofed. Those 1864's are just awesome tractors. Can't wait to give mine a test with cutting the grass this year.
Nice work there Sam. |
Your right, it looks like total dog turd. Just send it on over here and I'll put it out of misery :biggrin2:

Another project up and running!!
One of these days I'll be retired and can go through a cub as fast as you can..... :biggrin2: Now if only I could retire with some income, LOL. |

Now if only I could retire with some income, LOL.[/QUOTE] In your line of work I would be thankful to retire with a good back and non arthritic hands. You seem to be sharp enough that money won't be a problem when you get there. :beerchug: |
Looks Great Sam!! :beerchug::beerchug:
It should kill grass really well!:biggrin2::biggrin2: I've got to get busy and get the 2182 serviced and ready for this year... Our grass is already beginning to grow just like yours! SURE is early this year but no cold weather at all here!!:beerchug: |
Worked on the 46GT deck today. Replaced the double pulley and bearings, the bearings had spun in the housing and were ready to fall out. Funny because the bearings were not seized up. New bearings fit sloppy in the new pulley so they got some loc-tite bearing mount. Used my needle grease injector on the idler pulley bearings. Had to replace a step washer for the idler arm. Had to weld one of the wheel mounts. Pretty much just little stuff but it should make a nice grass killer. This deck will go on the 1641 that I'm loaning to my step son. The 48GT that is on the 1641 will go on the 1864. :beerchug:

Sam that 2264 and 48GT should kill some grass fast! I broke out the push mower today to knock down a few high spots.:beerchug:

:beerchug: Go Sam, Go!:beerchug:

I need to find a 54" for it. The 1641 handled the 48 just fine, the CH22 is overkill. Grass is getting green so it won't be long before I need to put it to work although it is supposed to get cold after tomorrow. Mother Nature has a bad case of PMS. :biggrin2: |

I had a fun day today. I had my step son over to help swap decks from the 1864 to the 1641 that I'm giving him for his place. He has never experienced what a real Cub is so I got to play instructor. I pretty much just told him what to do and let him have at it. We gave the 1641 a complete servicing. Figured he should understand the care and feeding of it before I turn it over to him. The Boy Done Good. You should have seen the look on his face after he took it for a ride around the yard. Last thing he used was a clapped out Murray. He's right uptown now. :biggrin2:

You're a good man Sam. Helping family and teaching the golden rule of Cub! A true win - win in my book.

The 2264 is now ready to kill grass. Put the 48GT deck on it. I also welded a couple pieces of 1"X1/8" flat bar stock to the front of the deck and bolted some 4" rubber belting to it to help keep the grass from blowing out from under the front of the deck. Seems to work good. Now I'm ready for some grass cutting time. :beerchug:

Grass killing
I may need to quit hanging around here for a few weeks. Ya'll keep talking about killing grass, and it was 0 F degrees with knee deep snow still on the ground here this morning. May have a bit of green by middle of May!

If you get a chance can you snap a picture. That has always been my beef with the 48GT deck. |

Spent the day cleaning the pig pen of a shop. Even tossed out Cub stuff that I have been saving for years. You know the I may need that some day and when you need it you can't find it kind of stuff. :biggrin2: |

Here are the pics of the flaps on the GT48 deck. One side is about 14" long the other is about 17" long. I have 29" of belt left over if you need it. I used 1/8"X1" flat bar stock welded to the top of the front where it turns up. 1/4" X 1" bolts. The belt is 4" wide hay bailer belt from TSC, they are proud of it. $22.00 for a 60" roll |
Thanks for the pics and offer Sam. I have a huge roll of conveyor belt, so I should be good. That roll plastic might work for this too.:bigthink: I had better get on the stick. The grass is getting greener everyday.:beerchug:
|
Very nice, Sam! You've been busy. :beerchug:

Good idea Sam, you got a head on you like a crow.:beerchug:

Well the 2264 is my official favorite Cub. Mowed with it for a couple hours today. I do need to get a set of loaded Tru-Powers on it though. Way to easy to spin the tires with the crappy Cub tires. Flaps on the front of the deck work better than I had hopped. Pic of the top of the deck is after mowing.

Awesome Sam! More important is no grass on you or in your beverage! :beerchug:
|
Good looking cub, Sam!
