Thanks Junior! :beerchug:

Nice progress on the 124, Jude! :High5:

juniors1282 12-03-2010 10:55 PM

Jude looks good, I use a cleaner from dollar general called "totally awsome" and it works great, very little effort and it's only a buck a bottle. Or you can buy a refill bottle, it's 3 bucks for a gallon. You can't beat it for the money. Keep up the good work. Hope you get your snow!

cubcadet109 12-04-2010 09:07 AM

Where I am in Indiana is snowing todday and were supposed to get up to 1 inch. Normally I would leave an inch alone, but this is my first winter with the 109 and I am just too exited, so it will probally be plowed!!!:BlahBlah::biggrin2.gif:

I needed to yard in some logs but can't fit the Cub through my current back gate, but the winch made short work of that!

Allen, I always love seeing pics of your 100. I have the same trailer you have, and oldie but a goodie :)

Jude, you didnt waste any time with your 124...keep us posted with your progress.

We got a couple inches of snow in Upstate Ny so far....not enough for me to get the 1211 or 127 out and plow yet...but I'm getting antsy :biggrin2.gif:

Now....45 minutes west of here towards Buffalo...dang,, I want to say I wish I was there so I could play with the cubs in the snow, but I have a feeling the 53' Jubilee would have to come out and play for that much snow to be moved......

Well we got a bit of snow last night.. Had about 3-4" this morning. I normally use my quad and a 60" blade to do the driveway. I got in one of those "moods" and messed with getting the thrower mounted up on the 682. It is not the right one for it but it works, a bit too good I might add! I can not lift it or the chute hits the grill as will the chute adjuster, but still cool none the less.. Sorry for the crappy pics, but my camera is MIA from hunting season last week :bash2: So Cell phone it was.

I'm bummin some, was supposed to get 4-8" of snow and got about 1/4":bash2:. But up the road 10 minutes there's 6":bigthink:. So I got into the engine on the 124 tonight, took the carb off and apart to clean and rebuild. Found out why it got parked, the teaser spring is broken/smashed and looks like the clutch release lever is adjusted all the way in.

ACecil 12-05-2010 09:27 PM

Thanks for the update pics, Jude! :beerchug:

Sminkey 12-05-2010 10:59 PM

Thanks Wild Bill! I have exactly what you pictured:biggrin2.gif:. And I also use a dremel to clean things up after:beer2:. The tip about the stones was a good one, will do that as I'm starting to accumulate some crud on the bottom. That stuff is strong and works very well, It was one of the 1st things I bought when I got my 1st cub.

Matt G. 12-05-2010 11:08 PM

Just don't leave the carb in there any longer than you have to...it will eat the entire thing eventually if you do. In warm weather, a couple of hours in there is plenty.

Matt G. 12-05-2010 11:56 PM

A few hours has always been enough for mine. The paint falls off and everything looks shiny. My point is, don't forget it's in there...

Good old lake affect snow got about 6" so far with the potential for 8" to 12" more tonight and tomorrow. I'd say it's coming down at about an inch and half an hour right now. Looks like I'll be getting alot more seat time in the next 48 hours, Darn the bad luck!!! The new "O" did a great job and I don't have the weights on yet going to do that today. Hope you guys wishing for snow get a little, got my fingers crossed for ya Jude.

squatch 12-06-2010 11:07 AM

That carb cleaner above will remove the gold color off a Holley carb if left in it overnight. I found this out the hard way.

I forgot and left a dissembled carb in the exact same cleaner for well over a month this past summer and nothing got eaten. Maybe you got a hopped up batch or something. If it isn't a carb that I need immediately I usually let them soak for a week or so. Been using the gunk brand carb cleaner for 25 yrs and the only thing I found it is hard on is seals and o-rings.

Thanks juniors1282!! Still no snow to speak of here, but only 10 minutes away it's snowing hard and about 6" has accumulated:bash2:. What a teaser!! Looks like your O' is doing a great job:beerchug: Have fun and push a little snow for me!!

some 05 and 127 work

Well fixed the sloppy suspension on the 127. Added Heim joints and replaced the spindle that was wasted by PO who had a bolt in there that egged it out. Thanks Patton Acres for the replacement spindle.

I got my 126 running after fighting carb problems. It starts right up and runs great. I made a bracket to hold the choke cable since it was missing.

I also made a set of hubs to mount my wheel weights differently on the 100. With the brackets I have on it now I have to unbolt them from the wheel to get to the lug bolts. The new ones bolt between the wheel and axle like a wheel spacer. I'll get some pics later.

We have at least 2.5' of snow or more by now with no signs of letting up. I have been very busy running my IH Cub Cadet 71 and helping out my old neighbor clearing his drive as well. Wild Bill knows who! lol! Here are some picts. taken early this morning and will have to push once more before I go to work....then again when I get home before I go run the loader at my second job! Keep warm everyone!!!!!!!:American Flag 1:

Sminkey 12-08-2010 10:42 AM

Great pics of the 71! Do you know that they only made 11,071 71's? Has to be one of the more rare models? I absolutey love my 71! Jealous of all the snow too. Your 71 is lookin awesome, don't work to hard!

Nice work on the 127 Jay! She's looking good!

Here's the wheel weight brackets I made. I added a couple of countersunk holes to bolt the hubs to the axle flanges with flat head screws.

Thanks Jude! Everyone's IH Cub Cadet is the best! Interesting....wonder what models are least in nunbers and which are more in? At any call, these great tractors were made when a dollar was worth 1.75 I'd like to think. :American Flag 1:

Mooner 12-10-2010 07:24 PM

Well, tomorrow it'll be a whole week that I've owned my 149. Today, after work, I got busy attaching my QA-42A snowblower. A buddy who lives nearby came over and gave me a hand. He has lots of experience with Cubs and he was a big help! Once I get the hang of it, attaching it shouldn't be too bad. Today, it took almost an hour, since I had a bit of trouble getting the belt to fit. We're expecting a huge dump of snow this Sunday, so I'm excited to put the Cub to work.
