not REALLY wrong ...just had a very strong opinion about quite a few things.....:beerchug:to Murph!...or maybe Jamison's?

I actually got some cub time today. I tried to fire up the 1200 and the starter wasn't engaging so I pulled one from a spare 301AQS and it fired right up. No pics the wife didn't think my dougnuts in the yards was photo worthy with the kids playing with their new toys and all.
With all the snow we've gotten and it's still coming down I'm kicking myself for not having the loader back on the 122. Time to redo the honey do list and put the cubs back to #1! |
I got to enjoy the 1862/450 blower yesterday. Guests were supposed to be arriving at noon, but the in-laws decided to come early. The morning consisted of church, trimming a whole filet and seasoning, deep frying some calamari & smelts, and then off the clean the driveway. I got one pass in, and the inlaws were waiting. They had to wait a little longer so I could finish!:biggrin2.gif: This combo is a lot nicer than the manual lift Deere setup I had last year (212/37). Weathermen are calling for another 2-4 inches this evening.

Toyman...where are the pictures?? :WWP:

TO ALL OCC MEMBERS: Scott Murphy had a sour attitude, and a smart alek way about him, insulting OCC members, and also OCC Mods....not to mention he thought that he didn't have to follow any rules. After MANY warnings, he could not temper his 'wit', (and he refused to anyway) so he has been banned from OCC. OCC was created as a place for fans of Cub Cadets to hang out, and be friends. We will not allow anyone to insult the other members, or the OCC 'staff'. BTW, just before his banishment from OCC, he was also banned from another tractor/garden tractor site for the same reasons. Plus, he has also been told from yet a 3rd different GT based site, that if he don't straighten up, he will be banned there also. |
Sounds good, Bill! I hear we got 6" of snow at home. I'd love to be there, so I can play with the 100! We'll be on the way home from FL tomorrow.
|
You got that right, Bill! It was cool in Tampa today. It got to 51. I'm ready to get back to NC!
|
Yea, you got that right Allen! Hear on the news that Alanta has not seen snow since 1882, and a few places west of was a first time record! Today I sprayed wd-40 all over the 71. Wiped down and cleaned up.
|
Looks like we dodged the bullet this time. Lot's a cold wind but just a light dusting of snow. I did mount up the Haban plow on my 1872. I kept holding off because the forecast was so undecided here that I didn't want to mount the plow then need the blower!
|
Allen:
I am really glad to hear that you finally made that trip to florida! happy holidays |
back on topic.. gonna drag kids around on sleds in what little snow i got here . I will get pics to put up .

Thanks for the nice comments, guys! :beerchug:
Duke: We got 6" here. Glad I had some left to play in! I know, what you mean, Jay. I definitely need a front blade...lol! :High5: |
ACecil
You have more snow than we have here in my part of Ohio. 100 looks good making tracks with those duals. |
Thanks Diz!
|
Allen, the 100 looks good in the snow. I'll bet you missed it something terrible. haha
Yesterday, I finished welding in the patches on my deck. Now it's ready for warmer weather so I can paint it and start reassembly. Today, I made some taller sides for my carrier. http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...2-29-10003.jpg http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...2-29-10004.jpg http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...2-29-10002.jpg http://i934.photobucket.com/albums/a...2-29-10001.jpg |
Sharp job, Adam! I definitely missed the snow. Still have some on the ground.
|
Thanks Allen. I meant you missed the Cub, not the snow.
|
Great job on the carrier Adam.. I need to do one of those up too some day.
|
Got the hydro lift on my 100 today. It now has hydro lift, 3pt, creeper, lights, rear ags and hub caps. The only thing its missing is th rear pto which I would like to get for it. Now I just got to tackle the creeper noise and put a new oilpan gasket in and its ready to play

I've been home from school for about 2 weeks, and I haven't really posted about any CC stuff. I spent a few days fixing up the lathe my dad bought in the fall so I could start fixing Cub Cadet parts with it.
I think I may have figured out why my 782/QA-36A was eating belts. The engine tilt is causing a belt misalignment, and excessive slop in the gearbox bracket allows it to tilt even further out of alignment. I have addressed these issues and will probably post about it in more detail if it works. I can't imagine I'm the only one who has put a QA-36/42A on an 82 series and had belt alignment problems. I also picked up a barely used 364 2-stage 45" snowblower for my 1872 tonight. I plan on getting that attached and my new rear tires on it soon. |

Adam: I really missed my 100! It was great, getting behind the wheel! :beerchug:

Well, Last Tuesday i went to Webster NY to get my Cub Cadet 102. i turned it over and it fired and all of the sudden went full bore. found out the little arm doohicky thing that runs from the Carb to the Govener arm had come loose. easy fix. i got it fixed and its running great.
and today, i just picked up a 104 parts machine with a good engine that will go in the 122. also scored a sweet looking original Cub Cadet soft cab! that will be awesome to have on those cold windy days! gonna instal that soon as well. all in all, good cub week! |
Once again I brought a good bit of firewood up from the woodpile to the garage. It's been quite cold here for December. Low 30s in the daytime and below 20 at night since Thanksgiving. We've been going through some fire wood. Especially with the son home from college for the holidays and my wife's work shuts down for 2 weeks at Christmas time. Both of them home the stove has been burning round the clock for weeks.
After that I used the Haban blade to clean up the driveway a bit before I mess it up plowing snow. The gravel tends to get piled around the rock wall at the edge when plowing so I drug it back out and spread it with the blade. So nice having a big, heavy hydraulic blade to work with. It does a fine job with the gravel as well as snow. The temps were mid to high 40s today and should be even higher tomorrow. Feels like summer compared to the last few weeks. Nice overdue break. |
Finally, Snow!

Before this we,ve had too warm of a winter in CO for any snow, but finally, we got some! We got about 5 inches and I got aout the 149 with plow and pushed some snow. This was the first time I had ever tried it for plowing snow and I was pleasantly surpised. We have alot of area to push snow around our house and it handled every bit of it. I was most amazed at how it would straight blade. We have 2 chicken pens that I can plow that takes straight blading, and it would push it all the way to the back. These are such powerful machines. Here are a couple pictures to show how good it did.
P.S. I plowed till almost 3:00 this afternoon. |

Great pictures of you and the 149  We haven't had enough snow to even use mine yet this year. |
Awesome pics, 57130! Thanks for sharing them with us! :beerchug:
