Got some more work done on the 3-point for my 126. I'll try to get the lower bracket made tomorrow and finish welding the top link.

Agreed! Very nice work.

I got the super out and moved some crusty sleet and snow. Love the new filled tires and the cab!

I can finally pull something with the 682

Because the PO installed a drain and vent in the aluminum rear end I could not use a typical hitch. I never welded before but got a lesson from a friend and think it turned out OK. It attaches to the frame and is made with 3/8 inch stock.

weaverama, That looks really good, but you might want to tie it into the sides of the tranny case like I have marked. This will take some of the strain off the frame itself also...

Adam, that 3 point is Awesome looking, Looks great in bare metal, don't paint it, just clear coat it:biggrin2.gif:

weaverama, nice work and I'm no expert but what JayBrd's saying makes sense.

Well I "worked" on the Original today for 3-4 hours. Replaced s/g, voltage regulator and most of the wiring as I was frying headlights and now all is good:biggrin2.gif:. Then went out to plow driveway and one of the chains broke so it was back into the shop. Was going to put another set on and then had the bright idea to put the ags that I just got on, what a mistake that was:bash2:. I didn't have chains on them and thought they might do ok, lol, they spun like crazy and I had virtually no traction!! So it was back into the shop and instead of just replacing broken chain on original wheel, I took the wheels off the 71 and mounted them on the O', they have 2 sets of weights on each wheel and the chains were setup much better and wow, they work alot better than just having one set of weights on!

Can't run chains on the ags either, not on the Original anyway, they'll hit the fenders.

Methos 01-19-2011 10:22 PM

Great pics Jude! You need a cab or two!

Sminkey 01-19-2011 10:27 PM

Thanks Duke!

Once I plow the drive a few times it is ice and chains is the only way. Good shots of the "O in work detail! I like in original paint too! I had a chain that broke so for a buck at TSC, I bought a link and fixed it that way. My chains rub on the inside fender a bit, guess it is the nature of the beast. :beerchug:

Sminkey,

That "O" looks great! Sometimes I wish we had enough snow in these parts to get out the plow. I've only been able to plow snow one time, and I had a blast!

Pulled the 1650 out to change the tires and dust it off for the new owner. Still pretty dirty, but too cold to wash it!

Really hate to see this one go down the road. Never thought I'd sell it...

ACecil 01-19-2011 11:49 PM

Great looking cubs, guys!

ACecil 01-24-2011 05:12 PM

Had to haul a wheel chair for Jenn. I just had to have some seat time...lol!

Check out the tow ball, now I can pull my big trailer. It's nice to be able to keep the ball on, and still use my attachments!

Looking Good Allen,
I fixed the rear tail lights on my 782,It is good to be seen when your plowing at night by the road, added this rear light also.

IHinIN 01-24-2011 07:17 PM

Allen, the 100 looks good as always. You'll look for any excuse to get some seat time in won't ya? Haha

Today, I finished up the 3-point on the 126 and had to try it out. I put the grader blade on and scraped the 2-3" of snow off the concrete in front of the garage. It did good considering it has turf tires with no chains or weights. I did have a couple concrete landscaping blocks in the box under the seat (roughly 20-30 lbs). I definitely need a spring assist on there. My right arm was getting tired using the "Armstrong" method. I'll try to get some pics tomorrow.

Thanks Steven! I was getting a little cranky last month cause we weren't getting any snow, well the month of January has made up for that! The past 3 weeks almost everyday there was measurable snow:biggrin2.gif: Hopefully have a good storm brewing for thursday here. Letting go of the 1650 will just allow you to replace it with 2 more cubs:biggrin2.gif:

Allen, looking good and any excuse is a good excuse for some cub time!! I'm having dreams about duallies too:beer2:

Lew, good work, being seen is nice, I get some good stares from people when I'm out on the cubs.

Adam, can't wait for the pics, really like your work too:beerchug:

Diz Jr. 01-24-2011 10:13 PM

Nice adapter, I like your thinking, use the Cub for everything possible :biggrin2.gif:

_DX3_ 01-24-2011 10:31 PM

ACecil

Did you make that or is someone producing those mountable hitches? I like that. :beerchug:

ACecil 01-25-2011 12:24 AM

Thanks guys! :beerchug:

DX3: I got it from a friend, but he quit making them a few years ago.

Methos 01-25-2011 12:49 AM

Great pics Lew and Allen. Steve I would hate to see that 1650 leave my garage too!

gcbailey 01-26-2011 05:55 PM

Cleared some snow...

So far 6 driveways cleared off with the 2544... I've got a couple quick clips on my youtube... needless to say apparently my mom didn't know how to work the flip camcorder. www.youtube.com/gcbailey34

Here's some pics of the 3-point I made for the 126 and a couple with my home made grader blade mounted on the 126.

cyroul 01-27-2011 01:41 PM

Hello everybody,
I wish all members a very happy new year 2011, I placed an initial order for my cubs and I am very satisfied with the quality of parts. I'll post some pictures of the installation of the generator for my cub 102, I would like to see if the engine is still running before disassembly.

http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/5982/cub1.jpg http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/6530/cub2.jpg http://img337.imageshack.us/img337/3121/cub3.jpg

I had to remove a bolt that was broken in the media, I thought it would have been harder but no, I tapped the nets for the cool story that it is alone.

http://img573.imageshack.us/img573/1633/cub4.jpg http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/4858/cub5.jpg http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/66/cub6.jpg

The installation did not complete it because of complication y ', I need to change the tensioner, it looks too short, and I'm not the nut and the cam of the generator. I thought that was delivered with apparently no, I think we need to order more. It's not serious it will be for the next command.

I also wanted to apologize for not being able to participate in your forum more, I work a lot and I struggle to translate your talk, I'll post other pictures later.
"PS: I can not join MR Myron Bounds told him I send an email at the end of the year and I did not answer, I think the email address I possess no longer be good Is that someone could send me that new address would be nice "
Thank you

Diz, remember asking me a few months ago, if I ever pulled my big trailer with my 100...LOL? Now I have! The 100 didn't even know it was back there. Even with old mattresses!

vbob01 01-30-2011 06:17 PM

Must be nice to get in some seat time and while wearing a t-shirt. I couldn't get my shop warm enough to do any work on the 2550, and I couldn't get the 1250 to start after digging 2 feet of snow off it, decided to wait end not kill the battery. Come on spring!

Methos 01-30-2011 06:26 PM

Allen looks like the 100 is earning it's keep yet again. It was another great day here in NC!

vbob01 01-30-2011 07:06 PM

Allen, looking good there! Was a balmy 21 here today, but I got out into the shop to clean and organize it. Had to prepare it for the new arrival:biggrin2:

Haha when you going to put round fenders on it?:biggrin2::beerchug: If you don't watch it your not going to have room for when you come on down here.

Yesterday I was able to get the 1200 and the 122 out for a family pic. The 1200 has a smoking problem that I hope to get fixed before the redneck plow day. I used the 1200 to pull the model 1 tiller to the front so Cub123 could buy it.
