Here's a few pics of my freshly painted blade and my weights and chains. The salt spreader still needs painted but that will have to wait for warmer weather. Besides, I want to redo the frame on the spreader. I just threw it together with what I had laying around.

Your blade looks great, IHinIN! :beerchug:

That deck is beautiful CBH.
Hope mine comes out half that good. I got started on it today. IHinIN, That is one snow distroyin rig... Nice work. |
Thanks guys. The blade turned out pretty good considering I brush painted it. It's definately not "show quality". I used Valspar IH white from TSC but I didn't use any hardener so it takes forever to dry. I'm planning on fixing up the mower deck this winter and painting it next spring unless CBH wants to do it. :)

CBH and IHinIN.....WOW!!
What a GREAT  job on "cleaning up" your equipment! You guys are definately inspiring me to get my stuff cleaned and painted! They both look super!! :Thanks: for the pictures and sharing your successes!! Rob |
Painted the rim's yesterday , put the shift lock on .
Then I sold my 2 mtd lawn mowers . Went out today to get some 26x12x12 tires my local tire guy . He called to get me a set of Carlisle's . When he got off the phone , he said that it would be a 2 week's before his supplier would have them . Then he went in his tire storage and bought out a set of Destone tires . He said the lug's were at about a 35 degree angle and that Carlise 's were at a 45 degree angle carlise $ 85.00 Destone's $ 105.00 . So he said he would sell them to me for the same price as the Carlise's . Destone's are 8 ply tires . Cariles's were 4 ply . So tires and tubes $ 212.00 out the door . http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/d...8/100_1122.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/d...8/100_1121.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/d...8/100_1120.jpg |
Anyone use their front blade to move dirt? Today i decided to try and level out a dirt mound in the far back yard with the 782. I locked the trip blade on it but I did let the lift float still since I've never messed with dirt before. It worked pretty well I was impressed. I think I'd like to get ahold of a rear blade and some other rear attachments as well. I just can't stand not staying busy with the cubs.

8 ply tires !!
Went to mount the tires Sunday took 3 hr.s to get one on . No give to the side walls , Stiffest tires's I ever put on . Today went to my freinds , He has a tire machine and the rims were to tall for his machine , but we got the tire on with a lot of work . Only took about an hour since his tire machine was mounted to the floor . I will have to fab somthing up to hold the tire in place next time i do tires .
