My 2284 has a clear-ish or translucent (or white) tank which when scrubbed clean you can see the fuel level inside. The 2182 I picked recently is an early serial number break with a black tank. Although it is dirty in this picture.

Looks just like the one in dirtysteves pic. It's an early 1862.

Early Cyclops have the black tank with the small filler. Later tanks are white with the large filler. Fender pan shape is also a little different. That 1864 looks like it's very late machine with the plastic tunnel cover.

So... just for record purposes, here is the power steering column thread I started which is a precursor to what's yet to be posted.

I prophesized many things were to come. One was to scrape decal glue off the hood. It actually came off fairly well with a total of 15.00 spent on this stuff called GooGone and a plastic razor, which I didn't even know existed.

While waiting for GooGone to do it's thing, I changed thee engine oil and filter!

Next, the seat and fenders came off, which a nut will be welded on the dang seat rail bracket before it goes back together!!!!:bash2:

Then a power wash! I love owning a Hotsy, spent over an hour washing this 18, my service truck and my diesel truck. Was a pleasant sunny and 70 here today!

Thanks! Gives it wicked lifting power at the most lifting travel position. There is more room than you think. I could put chains on with plenty of clearance :beerchug:

Was actually pretty easy to do

Nice job on the twin cylinder lifting power. It will sure lift a heavy implement like a johny loader or something. Keep up the good work!

Thank you Steven. No Johnny buckets here, only R-buckets. Nothing against Johnny products, just like these better http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=40746

One of the main reasons for doing the modification
