The bearings were spotless even though the HyGard oil was milky when drained. Slowly hanging parts back on and getting more room in the shop as a result. It sure seems nice to be able to roll it around on brand new tires. As soon as I sort out the wiring harness and get the back side of the dash done, I'll set the engine back in. I hope to see smoke before the snow flies!

Very nice work! Thanks for the pics and update.

Here's a quick update. The D600 is set back into the frame and the hydraulics are done. The wiring harness has had the bad wires for the PTO circuit repaired and a continuity check on each wire. Before I tore the beast down, I took a few reference pictures of the harness routing. I would recommend this to everyone doing a complex harness like that in the diesel Cubs. It's a great tool to look back at. I'll take some better pics tomorrow and add to the post.

This one will be good as old and better than new when your done. Congrats on a job well done. Just waiting for results of the smoke test. :beerchug:

Kinda busy around the back of the dash, but not really too complex for the routing if you know what goes where. This is my first Cub, so it's all a learning curve.
