Sounds like you had fun Ben! Here's how I did it today.:biggrin2: I got Evan some practice plowing time so I can take him to the NC spring plow day. He did pretty good even if his furrows was a litte bent.:biggrin2: I dumped the sod next door to fill in some low spots where they buried the waste from when they built the houses in the little hood I'm in. I've got to finish up tomorrow and will have to smooth it all out with the box blade when I'm done. Pics will be taken.

I forgot to post these pics from Evan and I getting some seat time Sunday. He missed his 125! I got to try the sullky out and love the ride that it gives! Smooth as glass!:beer2: I had a heck of a time getting him to stop and go in yesterday.:biggrin2:

Love the pics, Duke! Evan did a great job! :IH Trusted Hand:

Finally had some good warm and dry weather to mow the yard with the 1811. Did a great job! now if only the grass would grow faster so i can get more seat time in!:biggrin2: Also got my lower sleeve hitch bracket from xtreme motor works today! ill get pics of it on there soon!

_DX3_ 03-22-2011 10:32 AM

The 1811 is looking good. The grass isn't quite tall enough here yet to mow, but is only a matter of a few days. I am like you, I don't mind mowing at all. Most people I know are already complaining about having to mow and I can't wait. If more people owned Cub's there would be more smiles in the world. :)

gcbailey 03-22-2011 04:26 PM

didn't get a chance to take any pics, but the snow blade came off and the deck went on the GT2544... got the spring service done. I can't believe it, but I saw 4 people cutting grass today, that's the earliest I've ever saw it being cut in southern WV.

krisb 03-22-2011 07:30 PM

Did some major landscaping today. Used the 1811's blade to bulldoze, scrape, and level out old area that was landscaped.

This is my lawn a couple years ago to give you some idea what it looks like in full bloom

http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...8_629944_o.jpg

Cut out the bushes, and moved all the landscaping bricks out of the way.

http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...ctor/004-1.jpg

Getting ready to start bulldozing with the 1811. Worked really well. I found the best going was to let the blade rise on its own from the load then back up and scrape the remainder flat.

http://i678.photobucket.com/albums/v...ctor/005-2.jpg

Finished product. It looks rough right now, but when Im done with it and the yard is in full bloom its going to look pretty smart. Plus its going to be a lot easier to mow around. Also the green stain on the bricks looks much worse in the photo then it does in person. Going to acid wash the bricks to get them clean.

Since it's raining again . I have been wanting to repaint the grill mesh and touch up the IH emblem on the 1282 since I put the bumper. They looked dull compared to te shiny bumper. So I got that done today. Wish I could have been out doing some fun stuff like the rest of you guys, everybody's picture's look great, nice job everyone. The last picture of the 1282 is from before I painted them. :biggrin2: I also went through a column I had for the "O", did the bearing upgrade at the top and preped and primed it for paint.

Here are pics of the 107 that I am going to rebuild this year for my new snowthrower. It gives me a new beat down every day, but Im slowly getting it apart without destroying anything not easily replaceable. That makes things so much trickier. I used up one full can of PB blaster on it so far.

A79fordman I was wishing today that I had some way to weigh down the blade so it would not float so much. Does the three 45lb weights make a big difference?

Dang that looks like dirty work William. Can't wait to see the pics when your done with it.:beerchug:

Methos 03-22-2011 11:17 PM

Another day and some more loader pics! Your welcome Ben! I wanted Evan to get in on all the fun so he used the 125 and garden cart to haul the dirt and dump it. He was having problems pulling the latch to dump the bed so I went to help and got a ride or two back to the loader. Then I got to give him one little ride. I guess it's more fun to be the driver and not the rider. Evan put me back in my place and I had to ride in the back after that.:biggrin2: I smoothed the pile of dirt out with the loader. I put the tiller back on the 125 and tilled the dirt we moved so grass could grow.

Have I told you lately how much I love my loader? I love my loader! It was worth the wait!

Tractor2nv 03-22-2011 11:29 PM

Great pics Duke! If we don't show the younger generation how to operate these Cubs, get off the couch and outside to enjoy the day...who will?

spent all day plowing various driveways. mom was able to take a couple pics of me in the 1450. the cab is great for looks and keeping snow out of your face but other wise its the biggest PITA ever. its noisey, barely any room, visability sucks. but owell it was fun moving snow until it got above freezing and started plugging up the blower :bash2:

gcbailey 03-23-2011 05:59 PM

all these great spring pics and then more snow pics!!!! hahaha. gotta love spring time! Which in the past hour it's went from 74 to 51 here....

Gary I about flipped last night when we got 6" in less than 2 1/2hrs. It took me almost 4hrs to clear it this morning with the 4" of slush under it.

I used the plow on the front of the 682 for all of it. It did give me a greater appreciation for the thrower that's for sure. Although it was wet and very heavy stuff I do not know how you guys get by with a blade over a thrower :biggrin2:

So now we are right back to where we were for snow levels 3 weeks ago :bash2: But truth be told it was a great day of seat time either way!

yes it did make a big differents. For back dragging it push the plow down into the stones & dirt more as i backed up. Also the plow didn't bounce around as much. But when it came to plowing the stones, it work to well. It would stop the tractor. I Would have to try to pick up on the plow a little so i did dig to much. Also the heights keep the ends of the plows from picking up as much when I was leveling out the stones. All in all. Work great. Hope that helps.

cab wiper

Want out tonight and cleaned up the snow that we got. it was raining. After a few years of having the cab with a wiper. Got to use it. Was so happy. It don't clean much of the windsheild, but enough. I was getting sick in tired of looking threw the wiper & an its arm. But after tonight, I'm happy it's there. well the tractor is back in the garage. readly for the next storm. An by the way the weather man is talking. It will not have to wait long. :beerchug: Here's to you. In hopes that your grass is still going green. An not white. :biggrin2:
