Heres . A pic of the deck. I didnt pain the center pulley cuz i had a new zinc plated one on the old deck i was going to put on, but cant get off. The pulley covers still need done.i was in a hurry to finish as my other mower a jd pto keeps shorting out and grass needed mowed. I finished mowing with the new deck and smelled something burning and squeeling wich led to the pto bearing failure on the cub. Just disassembled and ordered 2from ebay for 10bucks a piece

Somewhere under all the green is trailer... and load 1 of 5 tree trimmings heading out into the woods to take a dirt nap.
Scrappy the O may not EVER release its grip on his steering wheel , but he'll still haul the freight. Duke, it's still your favorite colors...white , yellow, red, orange, black and rust...and primer! :beerchug: Johnhttp://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o...ps9f431005.jpg |

782 drive shaft repair
15 Attachment(s)
A while ago I picked up a 782 with a bunch of ailments, but the worst at the moment is a transmission leak. So the first thing I did when I got it home was to check out the hydro before I took it off the truck (I think they used old motor oil in the hydro, yuck !) As you can see in the pictures I had to replace the drive shaft, I'm surprised it didn't take out the fan it was so sloppy. I tightened up the shaft and got the motor running long enough to get the 782 off the truck and in the garage to finish the repair. Hope you don't mind all the pictures. :bigthink:
